i remember when i was a kid i used to read tons of these books about mice that lived in medival times...and they were childrens books. can anyone tell me the author

Its definitley redwall by brian jacques there are tons of them and he's still writing more

Are you thinking of the Redwall series by Brian Jacques? It's about mostly mice but has other animals that live in sort of a medieval culture, with the chain mail and swords and battles and everything.
