Question:

Does anybody think the Dale Jr./Kyle Busch incident at Richmond was good for NASCAR?

I personally think it was. If Hamlin's tire doesn't go down, it's just another ho-hum, boring race dominated by one driver. Because of the incident, we now have a compelling storyline to follow for the rest of the season

  1. I certainly don't think it hurt NASCAR any!

  2. no because you knew that nearing the end of the race that everyone goes crazy and lots and lots of wrecks happen near the end of the race

kyle slob.. i mean bush EWW no he is the most shelfish driver ive  seen. he acts like a two year old like his brother oh someone wrecked wha wha get over it and you know he would have wrecked hamlin he always wrecks someone

Now is that talent having to wreck someone so you can win i dont think so!!! he has no talent what so ever and i  waiting for him to try and push stewart that guy is going to teach him a lesson his mama should have done long ago.

you get more flies with honey then you do with vinegar so he would have wrecked hamlin for the win because every race i see he has wrecked someone out just to win or get better position and i'll be shocked if there was one race he didnt do that.

besides he said and i quote from the nationwide race"i'll wreck anyone and everyone out of my way so i can win" if you dont think he said that go find that nationwide race at the end the one with the 66 car and you 'll hear it

stated confesssion so he is a loser!

    capital L small o small s small e small r loser

go jr and stewart !!! good luck

PS THAT DIDIN'T WORK ITS THE JR FANS  WHO ARE UPSET AND KYLE StILL I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT HE WOULD HAVE WRECKED HAMLIN FOR THE WIN SO DONT GET YOUR HOPES UP FOR WHAT YOU WERE THINKING!

  3. Good for NASCAR, but God, it was bad for this section.

  4. This is what makes NASCAR so exciting!

  5. Honestly, I think your right and I also think Nascar looks at it the same way you do. Controversy sells tickets and more viewers sell advertising. I would have liked to have seen Jr won after all this time, but it just didn't happen that way. Denny Hamlin was the real loser in that race. He totally dominated all but 20 of 400 laps. If nothing happened on the track but a bunch of guys riding around being courteous to each other I wouldn't even watch it. I hope some excitement happens every week!!

  6. I don't care what anyone says.  Kyle is awesome.  He and Jr put on a heck of a show Saturday.  It was great for the sport.   Both those guys deserve a hand for what they did at the end there.  Next time it may be JRs turn.  Richmond deserves a hand as well. Saturdays show is what Bristol used to be.

  7. Nope, but of course there's no such thing as bad publicity and even better, it's free publicity.  It's got everyone talking.

  8. yeah it was good for the sport.  Fans will play it out and everytime they get near each other on the track they will think there gunna wreck each other, but its gunna be all fans.  Just like the (Earnhardt, Gordon"fewed") they never had a fewed.  Gordon respected Sr and Sr helpled teach him how to drive Daytona and many other places.  So its the fans that gunna make it worse then it is.  But thats not a bad thing, brings drama to the sport.

  9. Yes, it was good for NASCAR in my opinion. I think the attendance at races will go up and the TV ratings as well.

  10. Must of been thats all everybody is talking about, must have worked

  11. YES!!!!!

Kyle Busch named 1st Quarter Driver of the Year:

#18-Kyle Busch crushed the competition on the track and in the ballots as he won 1st quarter Driver of the Year 2008. Busch won a total seven races in NASCAR's top-three series, Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Craftsman Truck Series. Although he leads in the Cup standings with a second place this past weekend in Richmond, voting only considered results through the previous event at Talladega Speedway. In the voting Busch took 14 first-place ballots, and none lower than a third place totaling 142 points. Cup rival Roush/Fenway driver Carl Edwards' three wins earned him one first-place vote and a total of 72 points. Danica Patrick, who drives for Andretti Green Racing, whose record-setting first win in top level IndyCar Series for a woman, garnered two first place votes and totaled 51 points in third place. Ashley Force, daughter of the 1996 Driver of the Year beat her famous father, John Force last week in Atlanta in NHRA's funny car division was fourth in the voting with 49 points. A total of 17 drivers scored points in the first quarter voting, including fifth place Jason Meyers, in the World of Outlaws who won three of the first six races. In related news, ESPN's award winning writer and broadcast journalist Terry Blount has been added to the panel.
