  1. The important thing is that your father and mother love you.

If someone stares you could either stare back or Ignore!... you don't have to feel bad because you are NOT the only one in this world that have issues and problems... even the people who stare have problems... you should think about your family and friends that love you and accept you as you are and less about those people that stare and ask weird questions.

    Good Luck!

  2. To h**l with the public. Family time is important.. dont knock it off just because people stare. Who the h**l cares anyway! Be proud of your heritage and of what you look like.

  3. It sounds like you would like to be "easily defined" and yet there are many people who will make assumptions based upon appearance. It is easier if you just accept it and have pride in your heritage. allow people their ignorance. To be honest, I have met people who are mixed races and they appear to be something other than they are. I don't make judgments, and I happen to be attracted to people with mocha or bronzed skin tones. I can't always tell.

I am sorry this makes you uncomfortable. Think of the other people as being disadvantaged.

It is so common for people to be of mixed race. I sometimes come out and ask people what their heritage is just because I am interested in getting to know people and what cultural background they have.(Not to a stranger, but when I am actually getting to know someone.) It is interesting to know! Maybe you can be an educator to others. I find that many people like discussing their cultural family history.

If people are being rude or staring, that is a different story and I can sympathize with your feelings.

My family is all Caucasian, but sometimes I feel embarrassed because my family can be so uptight in public, so it's always something, LOL!!

Be patient and be proud of who you are and how you look!

  4. I'm just going to be straight up and honest here, so I guess I might get a couple of thumbs downs. Sorry, but pal, you need to get your head out of your a.s.s because you really should have realized by now that it doesn't matter what people think about you. These people that you meet are just passer-bys. You're probably never going to see them again, so why should it matter to you? It doesn't have to be your problem that people out there are still so narrow-minded...I know it sucks to have people stare, but get over it, because it's not just going to stop one day all of a sudden, ya know? Keep your head up high.

  5. If people didn't stare at you because your dad is white and your mum is black then they would just stare at you for some other reason.  My husband and I get stared at all the time and we believe its because we are both so tall (im 6'0 and he is 6'5) but reality is we don't know why people just stare.  Not going out becauase of it is letting them win.  Be proud of who you are, stand tall and who cares what they think.

  6. You probably live in a very conservative city. Most big cities are used to it by now.

  7. Those people who stare like that are the ones who are weird, not you or your family. If two people are in love, nothing can stop it. Make sure to tell your parents that you are glad you know two people who do not discriminate and really love each other for who they are inside.

Also, if every mixed family stayed at home it would be less common, so it would seem less accepted. The more people who go out and be themselves, the more common it will be, and pretty soon you won't have to worry about it. So go out and have a great time!

  8. And what does this have to do with g*y and L*****n?

  9. I think anybody can be together no matter what color they are and it is SO wrong so people do that. And thinking you are Mexican, unfair I know, it must be seriously irritating! Fight the power!

  10. It certainly isn't easy being racially mixed for some kids. But I suggest you start being seen together as a family again. I think those who are staring are less than they used to be. Now you will have O'Bama at least for a while. He will make it more cool.

Who you are is acceptable. No matter who you are or if you are purple and yellow from the canary islands. I am only joking about the canary islands, not making fun of people who come from there. it is the colorful name.

Maybe you can get your parents to go out in areas where people are more accepting.

I know it must hurt, and I am sorry for what you're going through. It will be easier as you get older.

  11. i think that you shouldn't give a d**n about what other people think because all that matters is that your parents love you and you should always be yourself

  12. just ignore them

the worlds full of ****-minded ppl

  13. I know what you mean. I'm white and my husband is black and sometimes we have people staring at us too. Get over it people!! P*sses me off too!

  14. You can't control people being ignorant, or obtuse. What they is usually going to stay the same. The only thing you can control is how you react to it. It sounds like you are very proud of who you are, which is great! Just keep a smile on your face. Love knows nothing of color, and honestly, some of the most beautiful people I know are half black and half white. I think they're just jealous!

  15. as for your parent they knew the ramification especially  in a society that is very  judgmental i think its great to see interracial couple  on everyone thinking your Mexican you need to relax because people are naive and you have to educate not hate.... when you hate and you dont calm down explain that your mixed then that is when you are as worse as they are.

  16. everyone think that racism doesnt exist anymore but it still does its just only more descret.

i have a similar problem but with convincing people none of my parents are white- my mother is moroccan but looks mixrace and my dad is blck.

just keep your head hight and ignore people.

    people are so fickel

    xoxo

  17. Some people are ignorant, skin colour doesn't matter and if your parents are OK with it, then you should be too. Don't let people bother you, go out with your parents, you can have a good time.

If people think you're Mexican, let them, you know you're not. Be proud of who you are!

  18. SO I'M MEXICAN SO WHAT... YOU FU**KING RACIST

LOVE YOUR PARENTS AND F**K WHAT OTHER THINGS

YOU SHOULD NT BE ASHAMED OF THEM....THINK HOW THEY WOULD FEEL WHEN THEY FIND OUT YOUR STUPID REASON TO AVOID THE DINNERS TOGETHER ETC

  19. People Should Tell....Do Something To Show Your Colour

  20. I have heard that mixture like yourself are among the best looking people in the world. you are unique so dont feel bad if people stare. They are admiring the courage your parents had to venture out of the usual. Enjoy being different.
