I know - a weird question, but when the news tells us about the results of UK educational A levels, we tend to see pretty teenage girls, or lads who aesthetically have that 'Oxbridge' look either hugging each other on the telly, or in newspapers, screaming their apparent joys.

  1. my freind is dog ugly and black she has 3

  2. yes,do not let race dictate your goals,if you make up your mind you can do anything!

  3. It's because people don't want to look at ugly people on their t.v, and it shows black people to try and convince us that there is equality in this country

  4. What the **** kind of question is this? You are basically saying that black people are not attractive. Are you serious? And "sweep" did you hear your answer you said my "friend" well maybe shes your friend but your definitely not hers speaking about her that way and you might want to spell check your answer before you post it next time unless you really believe that the e comes before the i in friend. And to the person that posted this your a major IDIOT, you know somebody that's not attractive- the person in that pic!

  5. thts only because they choose the students which represent the british population at it's best. and it's nothing to do with black people not passing, it's because they are in the minority therefore, a) don't have as a likely hance of being chosen because there s less and B) the typical briton isn't black. ..all aboutmedia representation ..etc

BASICALLY YES .ugly people and black people do get a-levels

  6. Yes, one of the girls in my office has A-Levels and she is a right munter.

  7. It's weird alright, but you must understand that the media wants nice beings in their papers. If the media is as 'Londoncentric' as claimed, then the chance of finding black pupils who have also made the grade would be far better, despite a couple of answers you have got. It's one of those things - if it ain't broken, why 'fix' it. There are plenty of black people who end up in university where I come from, but the sad thing is, education is one of those 'clean' things, like religion and professionalism - and despite it being the 21st century, if you're of a different colour, or not 'media aesthetic', then nobody with a camera or microphone will ever come near you! Hope that helped, harry! xx

  8. I understand what you are saying but the way you set out your question made it seem as though what you were saying is if anyone is unattractive; they must be black especialy with that dash(-).Actually it could mean something other than that but basically it suggested that you see blacks as lower people.

What you are saying is true but us blacks have to prove ourselves to get anywhere in life and so what if nobody wants to acknowledge us as long as we as an individual work hard and get far it's all good.

And for the record I absolutely hate these generalisations that all blacks are the same - everyone is thier own person. Skin colour seems to blind people so much it's simply sad.

  9. If you are serious with your question, then find a way of researching it other than looking at news photographs.

Is it possible the press has a bias that is not shared by the educational system?

  10. Perhaps because the media choose this stereotype and not anyone else. Il have you know however that most medics, engineers and lawyers are those from different ethnic backgrounds.

  11. They may get the good grades but they aren't considered photogenic.
