My 6 year old son has a speech disability and has been in speech therapy for 3 years, he also has an IEP. Is there anyone else whose child gets SSI benefits in a similar situation?

  1. Yes.

Some young children with speech delay are also classified as being on the mild end of the Autism Spectrum Disorder scale. If the eligibility of "autism" exists, then SSI eligibility is possible.
