  1. probably

just cos u dont get rep duties, doesnt mean ur underrated

prince wont get origin, even though he is on song, as thurston is there

patten is consistent, and he's a workhorse

    should be rewarded someday

  2. Agree so much he is a really good player but has so many other plays that stand out more. Feel for him sometimes..

  3. No. There are many more underated players in the NRL, actually don't think that Patten is that underrated. Players like RobbieFarrah , much better than Danny Buderus, cant get rep duties. Billy Slater is the best Fullback in the game (Broncos Supporter) but can't catch a break.

  4. God yes..

he is up there with the best of them and he is probably the most consitent player i can seem to recall. he may not have the speed or even talent of other fullbacks but he deserves more credit then he obtains , hope he gets an origin this year

  5. yeah he is definitely underrated..i dont like bulldogs but he is a great player

  6. you know who i think is underrated.. dallas johnson... not by the selectors but by fans of the game...

  7. Patten is under-rated but he's definately not the best full-back around. He's a very safe full-back but I don't think he's good enough for rep.

Talking of Billy Slater, I think he deserves the No. 1 jersey for the green and gold. He's started the year very strongly and has been one of the best players in the NRL so far.

  8. Underrated i guess. i wud rather have Patten in my team in stead of stewert any day

  9. if he given a job as a blues no.1 then i reckon he will do a great job.he's been an excellent player for the dogs for many year.yes i think he is the most underrated player for a fullback position in the nrl.with mini is out  and stewart  the test fullback last year.i do belived that the general is much better fullback than stewart.he deserve to be given a go at blues fullback.

  10. no

  11. No - i don't think so. I could name 5 fullbacks better than him Hunt, Bowen, Slater, Stewart and Mini (when fit) - Gidley plays a lot of fullback for the Knights as well and is better.

I could then name a few equal to him (some are confidence players though - when confident they are brilliant) - Hodges, Wesser, Campbell. So he is a regular first grader who is good, but he is in the pack. I actually classify Patten about the same as i think of Luke Burt - good, but not great.

i think the most under-rated player is probably Laffranchi - who I think does a tremendous job week in week out for the Titans.

  12. no i dont agree with that

  13. I agree... "The General" is one of the better fullbacks running around, and has been for years. While not the fastest, he has zip and is an elusive and opportunistic ball runner, and his efforts on kick returns and defense is also solid.

I also agree that comparing him to Slater and Farrah in relation to "most underrated" is a joke. Patten is lucky to have his name whispered when it comes to Country vs City... when he should at least be in consideration for the Sky Blue.
