I mean, lets be honest, when she was alive everyone painted her to be `the lovely caring princess who could do no wrong`..yet she slept with anyone..waved at charity events and put on that fake `sweet` smile to the public, she was a disgrace really..i know Charles cheated as well..but the Royal Family sucks...the only one who ever worked was Princess Anne, and the only one who was `normal` was Sarah Ferguson...both were slagged off by `Royalists` for being too near the public!....arses..just have a Prime Minister and have done with it..god thats even more scary lol

  1. The media cares, though probably not as much as before. As long as money can be made off of Diana, they'll be promoting her. I say let the poor woman rest in peace, and let life go on.

  2. it would be nice to think it was a big conspiricy.but i don't think anybody cares now.

  3. I never cared about her - it doesn't matter to me one bit that's she's dead, or that she existed in the first place - I feel the same about all so-called Royals - they are a waste of time, space and resources.

  4. I didn't care that much at the time.

It was all a bit too overblown.  I am not one for people expressing their emotions quite that openly.  I found something slightly unsettling about just how upset people did get.

It occured to me that the kind of grief on display was more about people who felt needy at the time having a cause to rally around.

Put short - Didnt care then, don't care now.

  5. I used to be a Royalist - Charles cured me.

People obviously cared about Diana's death at the time - remember all those the flowers?

I care that anyone could be hounded by the photographers in such a dangerous manner, riding so close to their vehicle, with cameras flashing in your eyes.  I care that people could be more interested in getting a photograph of somone dying than getting an ambulance.  Of course I care.  I cared then and I still care.  Who it happened to is immaterial, if it was you I'd care

  6. Did anyone really care that much in the first place?

  7. Of course people still care--memories are long and her death made a deep impression.  As for none of the royal family working, do you know any ather woman of 80+ who still does all the duties the Queen has done for more than 50 years?  Do you imagine it is 'fun' to be making hundreds of public appearances at that age?  No, it is the devotion of one matchless woman to her people and her nation. God save our gracious Queen!

  8. no, I didn't care because after She got the Woman of the Year Award over Mother Teressa I lost respect for those who even considered her for this award. they should have considered who influenced her good works in the first place.

  9. its about time  the subject was dropped .....lets have a republic and a president ...sodding royalty its outdated

  10. Yes,people still care and should care! Especially about the way she died!.Many people die needlessly at the hands of a drunken driver. And now, also in consideration is the reckless driving of paparazzi after "money shots" of celebrities. Unsafe drivers rule the roads these days. It's unfortunate.

  11. im not direct family to her but i am simelar class to her, does that count???

well i think it was a tragic acciednt anyway an i think people who dont care can only have no hearts

  12. You obviously don't know a lot about her. . . . she was a brave person who bucked tradition, often at her own loss, to do what she thought was right for the people of England and for suffering people worldwide.  She was given so many awards and accolades because she used the position of royalty to work tirelessly for various social causes in ways that no one else in the royal family did.  For example, did you know that until Diana, the royals didn't shake hands with the public, because it was considered not okay to touch a royal?  Diana thought it was awful, and started shaking hands and hugging people, scandalizing the royals.  Her sons, whilst in grieving just a few days after her death, went to the palace to see the flowers and the public, and shook hands for hours. . . . SHE taught them that respect for the common man.

She further shocked the royals when she visited AIDS patients in hospital and  -  OMG - TOUCHED THEM.   That was just not done at that time, by most anyone.  But she insisted upon hugging them.

She was the first really prominent person to bring international attention to the problem of abandonned land mines, and efforts going on today to find and deaden them are due to her efforts.

Diana used her power, influence, and money to help people all over the world.  That's why it was so sad when she left it. . . because she still could have done so many good things in her lifetime.  We are all poorer because of her death.

There was nothing phony about her - not her smile, not anything.  Her fragility and her sins made her more human - a complicated, interesting, wonderful package.  And frankly, if I had to be married to the likes of Charles and put up with Camilla from my wedding day onward, not to mention his parents, geez, I would have had an affair or two myself.   ( Especially since Charles admittedly did it first!  I think that kind of cancelled Diana's obligation!)

So . . . I care deeply.   Did then, still do, always will.  I remember the night it happened and I first heard, like it was yesterday. . . like people remember where they were when JFK died, people of my generation upward will remember Diana's death the same way.

  13. i personally am sick to the back teeth of it AL no mater Howe sad it was let it ly
