  1. I think all two year olds are hyperactive... and that's a good thing.  Yes, it can be exhausting on parents.. so you just need to find ways to stimulate them.  Get creative.  Like people say, "It's just a phase."  It will get better.  Good luck.  :)

  2. Yes some children are just more energetic than others.

  3. by 2 years old most of  learn how to walk and run..so there are so excited for their new acquired skills..Too much sugar based in take can make baby become hyperactive too.

  4. I dont believe in hyperactivity especially in a two year old.  I think that really smart children get bored easily and that is there way of simulating themselves

  5. give babby tuimeout

  6. Mine was very hyper at that age.  I noticed when he had juice, kool-aid, or ate anything with sugar he would start bouncing off the walls.  I realized when he ate sugar and kool-aid it was the sugar but I didn't realize how much sugar juice had in it.  I also noticed that for him when he eats cheetos he gets extremly hyper.  Certain dyes they put in foods will trigger hyperness.  To combat all this energy we got him a trampoline at the age of 2.  It has really worked well for us.  Gets some of his energy out. As far as putting him on medicine at this age, no way.  He use to have really bad sinus infections all the time and the Dr. would give him a certain medicine and when he took this it would just cause him to sit on the couch.  I thought wow , this is great ,but when you looked into his eyes all spunk was gone.  It was like I was looking into the eyes of someone dead.  I stopped giving him the medicine.  It just freaked me out how much it changed him and his personality.

  7. It could be a few things, 1, could be eating too much sugar, 2. could be not sleeping well, 3. could be overstimulated, 4. could be needs some quiet time with mommy,

  8. this is how a normal, healthy child behaves.  provide lotsa free play, reduce the caffeine and refined sugars in the child's diet, take some parenting classes, relax, and learn to enjoy the spontaneity of childhood.

  9. I knew my child was adhd by the time he was 18 months and so did his doctor. what to do about is just deal with it until after your child turns 5. i know because At 3 1/2  years we tried the meds and what i didn't know was that putting him on it so young the meds don't work right and actually caused extreme emotion my son was either very happy or in a violent rage. this is very scary.

Keep a diary of your child's behavior then when the time is right you have documentation at your finger tips when he or she sees the doc.

Also high protein snack about a hour before nap or bedtime helps. believe it or not my son uses peanut butter to help calm him.  also in the winter (not at age 2) we sips on coffee when he goes on special ice fishing trips with his dad (no sugar).  Hang in there i know how tough some days can seem .

god bless you and your family

  10. I agree with the first answer that was given.  But, let me add that I KNEW my 2 year old was hyperactive.  Now he's 5 and I have finally gotten my husband to believe me.  It took 3 years and his preschool teacher to finally tell hubby our son couldn't set still.  Where I go from here... not yet sure wich road to take.

  11. Yes if you have a kid that's hyperactive you will start seeing it come out around 2.

  12. Yes it definitely is hyperactivity. It is not a phase. It will only get worse with time. I don't think you should put the kid on medicine though not until elementary school. Just try to deal with it for now. My son is very hyperactive. i think he has ADHD. He can't sit still not even for a minute. He just bounces off  the walls all day. U can tell him to sit down a million times and he will get more and more hyper. We just can't handle it anymore. I'm just ready for him to go to preschool.
