Does anyone believe that it's good luck to take your newborn home from the hospitol in yellow????

my boyfriend is from mexico and he has this belief that if you take your new born home wearing yellow he'll never go back to the hospitol.. has anyone ever heard of such a thing???????????

I have but im not from mexico! my family has always give the baby in the hospital something yellow to wear home as a baby present, mostly I just give recieving blankets, a pacifier or a little rattle to go on the wrist. I never knew why we did but its a tradition kinda like at a wedding, something borrowed, something blue, something old and new.

i have never heard of that but from personal experience i will suggest that you do take something yellow to the hospital with you just in case you end up getting a boy instead of a girl like i did! i had to go buy something from the gift shop cuz all i took was pink!

I've never heard that, but i guess yellows a good color to take in with you if you don't know whether your having a girl or a boy.

We brought our baby home in blue... I guess that means he'll be visiting the hospital before his life is over. Oh well.

But just to warn you, Since it wears yellow it never goes back, that means it never may be able to have a kid(If it's a girl) not joking.
