  2. It has been proven that they aren't 16. In previous olympics there was no age requirement. And in previous gymnastics events these girls were not 16, they were younger. But because of the new age requirement the chinese team has forged legal documents to say that these girls are of age. So basically its the same girl but she is a different age. Even though we know that they are not old enough, we can't disagree with them because they are presenting "legal documents" saying they are 16. NBC was talking about this right before one of the gymnastics events. Some of those girls really are 14 and I want to say that they said one of them was even 12.

  4. there has been all sorts of atricles coming to the surface about them 1 or 2 years ago saying the were 12 and 13...but there is nothing anyone can do about it because china aproved their passports and that is what the olympic games go by

  5. The one that won the gold looked about 10 years old to me. But then I realized that no 10 year old should be able to do something like that.

  8. it's hard to tell if they are 16. they have to be 16 the year of the olympics not at the time of the olympics. and to the guy that says shawn is 14 he is wrong she is 16. i watched a show on her and they show her driving her car back home.

  12. They might not be 16, but it is really difficult to say. I realize that they have age limits on gymnastics for the Olympics, but if I lose to a young kid - I still failed to do better than my opponent. I have learned in sports, that there are a lot of rules that get bypassed by some; you are better off focused on what you can do than worrying about others. How many soccer and baseball players over the years have misrepresented their age in the other direction?

    The gymnasts are so freaking small, it automatically makes you see them as younger just due to them being less than 90 lbs.

  14. No.  But they all seem to wear the same shade of blue eyeshadow.

  15. They are at least 16 since they are Asian not American.  They are different genetically with american.  You will notice the 30 years Chinese women usually look younger than 16 year American girls.  I guess it is because american girls consume too much hormone from cows?

  24. How about the Japanese Girl on Beam? Why no one doubted her age? Simply becoz she didn't win any medals?

    Nastia looks 22 & Shawn looks 15 to me. I was shocked when i checked their profile on Olympic official website.

  26. no. or puberty doesn't reach the asians until they're 23, which seems to be the case by the many that i see who claim to be "adults" looking like 10 year old boys

  29. Lots of people do, but many of them are Chinese and/or American haters. Doesn't matter anyway, as there will not be an investigation into any of the shady matters regarding gymnastics in this year's games.

    Congrats to them though. They did extremely well, despite the cloud hanging over it in many people's eyes.

  30. All Chinese people look like that at 16, the boys and girls, it's because they mainly eat scorpion kabobs. LoL
