Does anyone believe (the book:) The Case Against Adolescence?

  1. Don't think I read it.  But if the author claims that adolescence is just a contrivance, there's lots of other books that agree.  If you look at history, the idea of adolescence is relatively new.  See 'Centuries of Childhood.'  But if our culture promotes  the idea of adolescence, then it only fits that one goes through one.  I know this is sort of dumb since I haven't read the book; but maybe I'm making a lucky guess.


  2. It seems like this book is not that well read in these forums?  Perhaps you should locate an article about it to link people to before you ask so that people can actually make an informed comment?

  3. I haven't read the book but I saw a tv show talking about it and it makes a lot of sense.
