  1. no, i hate this idea...i hate recycling its for idiots.

  2. Brilliant idea!  If Medway Council were to introduce this I would be tipping my black bags out all over the kitchen floor right now!

  3. great idea

can't wait till it's introduced here in the UK

i think it might actually work!

  4. there would be some issues with it though, the recycling isnt upto scratch as it is. most of the collections if they find soethink that shouldnt be there, they leave it behind or fine you!

and might end up with people stealing other peoples rubbish. lol

  5. Sounds great in principle - but I have these visions of scutty neighbours nicking stuff out of other people's bins to increase the amount in their own!

  6. i'd do it but i dont think everyone would

  7. Thats great and i have already thought of a way to fiddle it,bring it on

  8. I doubt it, but I do agree with the idea of the carrot rather than the stick when it comes the recycling. At the moment, the consumer is being pressured and penalised when most of the fault lies with manufacturers.

  9. I'm all for recycling but what bothers me about this is that by the voucher scheme the government are going to be able to decide what retail businesses they support over others.

  10. I think it could but see if they gave us better recycling places and better bins instead of those daft things it might happen anyhow!

  11. It will work better in some places and not in others, just as the recycling does now

  12. Fantastic idea, i am 100% sure that others will agree too. A very, very good incentive!

  13. its a better idea than just telling people that they will only get fortnightly collections to try to force you to recycle - especially when they havent put any extra recycling stations or bins anywhere.

Is it just me though, or do the conservatives seem to be saying all the right things about certain topics in antisipation of a general election??

  14. I don't understand it ! How is this different from just putting my rubbish in the wheelie bin? At present I put paper in one bin, plastc and cans/tins in another, green waste goes in a green wheelie, and then whats left (bottle tops, many plastics, sellophane wrap, paper with tape or plastic on, food waste, the vacuum bag, toothpaste tubes etc) goes in the general rubbish.

Does this Recycle Bin takeover from all the other Recycle Bins? How does that work???
