Whoa! Nooooo. What Jeff said is wrong though. There are many investors who play penny stocks and recieve a GREAT return.

Wait no, these people are not investors. They're more of the "traders" type. They are deemed traders because they constantly watch/trade their penny stocks throughout the trading day, whereas investors just put their money in the stock and... "forget" about them.

Penny stocks are really unpredictable, so you'd have to keep a watch over them. They could go up 3 dollars in one day and come down 4 dollars the next.

some penny stocks are profitable and volatile.  you can make lots of money with them or you can lose lots of money.  SINA, NTES, and SOHU all used to be penny stocks.  

I never buy a stock and just forget about it.  I watch almost everyday.  

the bad thing about penny stocks is margin may be a problem

chances are you will have to forget abou them cause the vast majority of stocks that are $5 and less get flushed down the toilet.
