  7. Check in your area for Catholic Social Services.  They will help you, no charge.  Good luck.

  8. Go out with your friends, have a good time.  Don't depend on pills to make you feel better.  Everyone has their ups and downs.

  9. Go to the free clinic. It's either very cheap or free hence free clinic. I understand your feelings, I feel the same on most days. But you have to ask yourself: are you depressed or unhappy? Good luck girl.

  11. There is a misconception that you need money to get the help you need. I was broke, and I went to a local clinic that deals with depression. They base your payments on your income. And they can help you at little or no cost to you. Call a local crisis hot line and talk to someone in your area, they can direct you where you need to go. It helped me. Also look for on line chat rooms that deal with depression.  I also included a site about teen depression. Also the 2nd one deals with types of treatments and how to cope. Check them out. There are ways to find local help for your depression if you just search it on line.

  12. there are free clinics out there, or hot lines they have info

you don't have to tell them your life story just ask for info on were to go for counseling and such things or for free clinics you should be able to find it on line near you area. i'm sorry you feel like p**p, i have a lot of depression problems too, but i don't take medicine i probably should but i can't remember to take pills! there is a search engine called MedicalDoctors.us.com  try to use this if it helps

  13. I don't know where you live, but I know in my community (pretty small one), there are several places that either do free counseling (especially for those who have been through trauma or violent crimes) or they provide services on a sliding scale fee, meaning you only pay a small percentage of what it would normally cost.  You can also call a crisis line.  211 is a number you can call who can give you information on free counseling services close to you.  I care a lot...does that make a difference? :)

  14. Considering the responses that you have received I would say that you could feel a little more certain that someone out there cares about you...that is good news. In addition, the best suggestion that you received, was to call 211. This is the United Way Hotline and they will refer you to people who are trained to speak with you and who are able to help you pinpoint the reason(s) for your feelings of depression.

Sometimes it just takes talking to someone who knows what they heck they are talking about. 211 will also give you the number(s) to places that you can go to, in your area, where you can receive help respective to your financial ability.

211 is: A crisis intervention hotline and the place to call for information and referral hotline for health and human services.

  15. figure out why you feel depressed, then ask friends and people to help you. when you figure out why yur depressed then go back on yahoo answers and ask us how to help it...hope itll work =]

  16. I recommend running one time a day. This will help boost your hormones and make you happy. Also cut out diet sodas or any addictions you might have.

I am sorry you are depressed. But all I can tell you else is look inside yourself and find a motivation to live life to the fullest again. Live by your own rules.

  17. Well...I was really really really down the other day and nobody was home to go cry on...so I called a really old friend of mine. I was afraid it would be awkward, since I used to have a crush on him. But he was totally fine and he made me feel happy again. Plus, he brought his sister who is one of my best friends who had JUST got home and he told her where he was going and she jumped in the car with him. Then one of my friends I had tried to call showed up and it was fun.

Just surround yourself with friends. You have no idea how much it can change your life.

    =)

  19. Being depressed is a very miserable feeling, and it is a serious condition.  I think that you should call a psychiatrist and explain to them that you don't have the money to see one, but that you need some help, and see if there are some alternatives as far as payment.  There has to be someone out there who would help you!  If not, go to the emergency room and tell them how you feel and your financial situation.  But, please, by all means get help.  Don't let this go untreated.  You are not alone...there are so many people in the same situation as you.

  20. Keep lavender scented things around.  It sounds a lot like folk magic, but studies have shown that the scent of lavender helps improve depression.  Many people keep handkerchiefs in their purses with lavender oil on them and smell them occasionally.

When you get up each morning, stretch.  It makes a world of difference when you muscles get all warmed up instead of being dragged out of bed and to the next routine each day.  And take walks in the sunlight when you can.  Being in the dark tends to agitate the brain and makes things just seem even gloomier.

Begin thinking to yourself, "The world is conspiring in my favor."  Sometimes thinking positively even when things seem hopeless is your best weapon against depression.  Ever since I started doing this, I lost 10 lbs, my student fees got wiped--so did one of my text book fees (about a $400 value all together), and my ability to stay focused at school has increased.  I can't wait for more good things to come my way.  Maybe they'll start to come your way too.

    Give it all a try.

  21. Just remember that you have a roof over you're head and that it could always be worse

  22. the best thing to do is to be with someone. don't just take stupid pills that can get you sick to make you have a good time.

  23. look i m in da same situation 4 around a yr n half.......yea it works being wit frnds but at da end of the day u ll feel da same....u need sum1 who ll love u n u can love him too...only den u ll b happy n njoy ur life.. do u kno sth gud ppl in dis world ll hav 2 bear pain in dis life....god is testing u mayb......i feel suffocated n sad all da time.....we r birds of a feather....if u want we can share our thots.....

  24. One thing that is free and I hear guarantees that you feel better afterwards is excercise, it releases natural high chemicals called endorphins in your brain and makes you feel better...That is a well known FACT. I hope you feel better soon as i know how it feels to feel crappy most of the time...it isnt pleasant.

  25. You are not alone and I'm sure there are a lot of people who care about, what you think and what you have to say. Try doing something you enjoy. Go out with friends. If you don't feel like being bothered with people try to take a calming bath and clear your head. If that fails try maybe writting out why you are so down or tell whom ever maybe causing these feelings how you feel. Try maybe moving in with someone that makes you feel good like family, a boyfriend or something. If all fails just try to focus on things you can do to keep your spirits up. You have to stay active. Maybe work out. I have a depression hotline number you can use it's 1-800-448-3000. They maybe able to point you in the right direction for treatment. You can always go to your local welfare office to get some type of coverage so that you can be professionally evaluated. If you need an ear you can always holler at me.

  26. dont turn to pills, anti-depressants are bad news, my cousin died from them....try going outside during the day to a park or something, being outside on a nice day always cheers me up, or go on youtube and watch something funny, like Demetri Martin lol....you could always call up some friends you havent talk to in a while and get together, that will take your mind of things... psychiatrists are expensive and the pills they give you can be trouble....just think about how fortunate you are and go have some fun

  27. Watch Tropic Thunder. That shiit is funny. It should cheer you up.

  28. hang with some friends, go to a bar and have some fun, take a nice long walk with the people that you love.

  29. Neh 8:10  Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

  30. Find a friend and go for walks each day or as often as possible during the week.  You will find that the physical activity will improve your frame of mind.  Sometime cleaning the house is a good activity--vacuuming and washing floors.  Don't be in a hurry.  Put on some of your favorite music while you're doing the chores.  Not only will the activity help you feel better, but when you see how nice your place looks, THAT will make you feel good too.  You could do some minor rearranging of furniture.  In the Fall, raking leaves can be a good physical activity.

    Hope you feel better SOON.

  31. The cheapest and most effective method possible is running and eating a proper diet that includes fruits, vegitables, and lean meat or proteins.
