Does anyone descend from John Tatnell who left Tasmania, Australia bound for Mauritius in 1848 ?

Did he take his aboriginal/Murray islander wife with him? He left behind a son, Thomas (AKA Charles) who married an aboriginal woman named Jane (AKA Ann) in 1843 at Sorell Tasmania Aust.They had 15 children.

Have you checked the Mauritius archives for information on him after he moved there? That would be the most likely place to look for information on him since the South Pacific isn't a wellspring of genealogy information on the internet.
