  1. My mother bought a GL450 but she returned it because she wasn't satisfied with it.

The problem was that the car's interior was rough and not made well and the smoothness of the car was rough. The car is kind of too heavy too.

It was a 70,000 car after some options but it wasn't worth it. She bought a BMW X5 4.8 instead. Its much better.

BMW X5 4.8 is more sportier and better looking also. It absolutely have a better interior and options also. The car is very smooth and its more popular than the Benz

  2. My parents bought a new ML320 CDI (the turbodiesel model) a few months ago.  It rides very smoothly, it's very quiet, very comfortable, and feels like it has a high level of quality.  The doors make a nice, solid thud when you shut them, almost like a bank vault.  The seats, even though they got one with the MB Tex material, look and feel like real high-quality leather.  The car is also loaded with cool features like back-up cam, satellite Nav and radio, heated seats, sunroof, and an electronic trunk.  The diesel engine is awesome by the way.  It's whisper quiet and feels pretty quick.  Passing power is where it really shines and my mom regularly returns an average MPG of 24 in mostly city driving, which is pretty d**n good for a mid-sized SUV.

There are a few things about it that are negative, although petty.  The blinker lever is positioned too low (in my opinion) and the blinker itself is really freakin' loud.  I've accidentally hit the cruise control stalk while driving it, thinking it was the blinker.  The paddle shifters behind the steering wheel are positioned awkwardly, too.  Also, they had to take the car in after just a couple months because the climate control wasn't working properly.  Other than that, it hasn't been any trouble at all.

Overall, the ML is a very nice car and I think it's worth it, especially if you opt for the turbodiesel.  I've never driven their other SUVS (the R-Class, G-Class, and GL-Class) but those seem very nice, too.

  3. thier not bad but they feel sooo heavey all the time i mean we have a merc ml500 it feels like a big truck to drive! if i was u id get into a bmw X5 thiers sooo hot much better in everyway! good luck

  4. Ignore "Hot God" because he clearly never drove a BMW. The X5 is SLOW. Very, very slow. And ugly.

The older ML rides totally differently than the new one. The old one was like a bouncing, sluggish wagon on stilts. The new ML is beautiful and drives exponentially better. Reliability with the 1998-2002 MLs are sketchy so if you purchase used, avoid those years. The newest body style brought on many upgrades and improvements that the MB technicians seem to acknowledge as huge leaps ahead of the first generation.

The GL is certainly nice but it's a fuel hog that gets about 14mpg in the larger engine. The numbers are only slightly better for the smaller 4.5 liter engine. Overall, however, it is beautiful and drives smoothly. It's not quick but the whole package balances things out.

Feeling safe and being safe are two different beasts. Mercedes is known for producing safe vehicles but no SUV is safe just because it is an SUV. There are statistics and articles written by the hundreds with regard to the perceived versus actual safety of larger vehicles.

    Edit:

Ignore the answer below mine because he or she is completely making everything up. Of this I am sure for several reasons. First, you cannot return a car. Period. There is NO cooling off period or return period and he probably just took cues from my answer. Second, that user has been known to post ridiculous questions and answers. They are probably a teenager living large through their keyboard.
