  1. Mine does def. She sits there quivering and shaking and acts like a schoolgirl with a crush. I had a swollen knee and had to take my trousers off, she looked at my legs and BLUSHED.

I couldn't believe it. I was left wondering if she did this with every guy that has an appointment with her.

  2. i had a GP who was unless.but i change doctors and they are brilliant

  3. Absolutely, I changed GP's a few years back as the one I had pretty much wanted me to self-diagnose and refused me any help (I had bad depression).

The next one I went to helped me immediately and I am now much much happier.

  4. yes - i have been twice in the last two years and they make me feel that i am putting them out, and wasting their time.

So our national insurance contributions mean nothing!

Bevan will be turning in his grave!

  5. yeah but just ignore them - they shouldn't be like that coz you pay their wages, if you didn't go to their office they'd be out of a job! so make them work lol

  6. Yes sometimes.

  7. Yes, I was pregnant, with a really bad cough, coughing odd bits of blood, with stabbing pains in my lungs, i went to see my Doc who said my chest was clear and I was fine. I could hardly breathe 2 days later and had pains on the other side of my chest so my husband called the doctor out, he said it looked like asthma!!! said I was making a fuss but he would get me checked out at the hospital to put my mind at rest.

It turned out I had 3 blood clots in my lungs and was a very lucky lady to be alive according to the consultant.

The bloomin doctor only sent me to put my mind at rest so I would stop pestering him.

I go in now and boy do I get a thorough going over,I see a different doc at the same health centre.

  8. Yes lol.

There's one GP I HATE going to but we have to go to him when my regular is booked out...

and he doesn't make ANY eye contact. He spends the whole time staring at the computer screen. Sometimes I swear I can see him rolling his eyes at me.. :P

  9. I havent been to my GP in years but the first thing he always asks you is "do you smoke"Now could someone please tell me what has smoking got to do with veruccas lol

  10. My old GP made you feel bad just for making an appointment - she would glare at you while you explained what was wrong and nine times out of ten you would leave with pills but still not know what was wrong with you.

The Surgery i am at now is like the lottery you never know what GP you are gonna get - one of them LOVES a good illness - the more complicated the more excited she gets!!!

  11. You shouldn't be feeling that way.  You really need to find another doctor.  The time you spend in the exam room is YOURS and you paid for it! The health care industry is already a mess, the last thing we need is doctors with over-inflated egos that make us feel stupid.  I totally feel you, and since I work for doctors, I can tell you that you're not alone.  This is a common problem, and the solution is for you to dump your doctor.  And, it wouldn't hurt to write them a letter explaining why you're leaving their practice.  You'd be surprised at how many doctors really don't realize they're being a$$holes until a PATIENT calls them out on it.  Sometimes that knocks them down a notch or two!

  12. No its definatley not just you. I've seen GPs that have almost had like an "Lol so what do you want me to do about it?!!" expression and attitute. Think its just a sad reality that lots of dr's have really bad people skills. The GP that Im assigned to is really nice though, if you know there's a good GP at your surgery ask for them when you need to book next time.

  13. Always.

It's "what *seems* to be the problem" rather than "what's the problem". He might as well say "I'll be the judge of whether you're ill, laddie."
