When I get up to go to the bathroom, my cat will get up and sprint for the bathroom and once Im settled on the throne, he'll start purring and rubbing against my leggs wanting me to pet him. What the heck is the deal with this?

  1. HAHAHA! YES! My little bugger usually tries to sit on my lap too! Maybe they find the smell appealing LOL

  2. How funny our 2 cats do the same thing to myself and my husband and son... i am telling you there is  no private room in the house...(ha.ha.ha)

  3. yes! mine do that too

its in their genes or something

    haha :)

  4. All 4 of mine do that too. It's unreal! I figure they see an opportunity for some extra pets from a captive audience.

  5. thats unusual but u should ask the vet when u take ur cat 2 the vet...the vet might help u

  6. My cats do that when we wake up in the morning, get home, or when my boyfriend goes anywhere alone. They love him so much. Its cute but gets annoying especially the one cat...he meows excessively and can't stop. Just let him love you, it's probably all he wants unless he's in need of water or food. :)

  7. mine does it too lol...he walks in and out through my legs and stand there for a bit of a pat and then walks out again...thats wen i leave the door open, when i shut it i find him waiting at the door for me to come out! its weird lol

  8. one of my cats does that to! thats so weird! i dont know - i just think its like "special bonding time" for them or something. I couldnt tell you... i know when they are rubbing up against you, they are actually just trying to rub their sent on you. so they "own" you or however you want to say it.

  9. Your cat is just showing how much he loves you and no your not alone my cat does the same thing and he even loves to sleep in their while im showering. Cats have weird ways of showing love.

  10. he wants to be around you. My cat does that all the time. If he doesn't see me get up and head there, but hears the door close, he will run over and if i dont leave the door just barely open he will scratch and claw at it. Your cat just wants attention. Its just an attachment thing. Weird. but not totally unheard of.

h**l my cat does the same thing with the shower, he has to be in there, he was so used to me taking showers with a curtain, when i took one in a glass stall kinda thing he was so sad, nuzzling the door, putting his nose up the glass, and everything till i was out.
