Does anyone else's newborn do this?

My daughter is two and a half weeks and almost since she's been born, she squeaks and mews almost constantly. My husband and I are laughing because she sounds like a wild animal sometimes - or a squeak toy. She seems content when she's doing it and I'm not concerned - it just seems a little unusual to me and I was wondering if anyone else's baby made squeaking noises too.

  1. yea, that's why i call mine squeaker

  2. My baby girl did but usually when she was poopin!! Im sure its normal...my little one moans in her sleep..has since the day she was born...her daddy moans in his sleep too!! Congrats on the new baby girl!!

  3. My son is one week old and he makes the same funny sounds. He only does it right before he falls asleep but he  always seems happy and content when he does it.

  4. My daughter is 3 weeks old and she does that all the time.  It's so cute!

Her daddy was playing a race car video game and we joked that she sounded like a car screeching around a turn.

  5. My son always made puppy noises. Sooo cute...for halloween im going to dress him up as a puppy. It is totally normal.

  6. Totally normal, but it will end in favor of other noises, so my advice is get a recording of it now.  You think you'll always remember, but the memory will fade in all the other amazing things she'll do

  7. My son is 7 weeks and does the same thing all the time. In fact, he does it so much that I get nervous when he is in a sound sleep and I hear nothing over the moniter! Once in a while it gets scary because there will be a highpitch noise that sounds like he is gasping for air. Dont freak out like I did if you hear it because even though the pediatrician repeatedly told me that one was normal I didnt believe him- until my son made the noise right in front of him and he still said it was normal. I was so convinced before that, that the pediatrician had no idea what noise i was describing because it sounded so horrible that he must have had a hard time breathing. But all in all...its normal!

  8. All babies make that sound... it doesn't last long so enjoy it and record it if you can.
