Does anyone else agree that the tree-sitters in Berkeley should immediately be arrested?

Come on, is there anything less important? There are thousands of trees being cut down in the Amazon rain forest why don't they sit in those? I can't imagine how retarded you'd have to be to protest something so insignificant.

  1. I think arrested is really extreme.  I visited Berkeley for a field hockey tournament and while visiting the football stadium some of my teammates and I yelled over to them and started talking to them.  They were really friendly.  I may not agree with exactly what they're doing (the trees were planted there only 80 years ago and the guy who planted them their is the one who planned the building that's supposed to be built there). I agree that there are more important things, but it is their choice to protest this.  And they would probably argue that nothing is insignificant because everything affects something else which in turn effects something else...

  2. Set fire to their trees!

  3. They need to put their efforts towards a better cause...world hunger, the war...anything else.

Cal is going to plant 3 trees for everyone they cut down...so I dont see what the big deal is.

  4. yes

  5. naw, Freeze and starve them to death.

  6. No, I am glad I live in a country that people are free to protest..if you feel people have no right to do this you are unAmerican.  Long live the trees and the protesters!  If you don't like freedom..why don't you move to some country where people get their heads chopped off for doing something like this!

  7. Yes, there really is something less important- arresting a tree full of nuts.   Let them sit, eventually nuts will fall to the ground from any tree.    Are they bothering you that much?
