The only sane answer to this is that every so often and if you look back over the years you will find that we do get odd bad years. We might get some more though because the Air that we usually  get comes from  winds that come from the Usa. But it is changing direction and is going further down , therefore picking up bad weather from the Polar Region thus making our weather very wet. This was told to me by a Weather man in the USA when I made a visit there in February, and he forecast more to come, and colder.  That is something to look forward to..... I dont think. !
