Not at all, because at least diapers serve a one-time purpose. Politicians are entirely useless.

People pride themselves on being American, boosting about how great it is that they are free and how they live in a democracy, which it still is for the most part. But most people are ignorant to the fact that the only reason why our country has remained free for so long is due to the U.S. Constitution, not the government or the politicians. If the constitution was not the highest law in the land, and if it was ever disregarded as such, the corrupt and sleazy politicians that have elected themselves to office would have turned our nation inside out a long time ago, which I think is beginning to happen.

Understand that a law is just a law, words transcribed on a piece of paper. It means absolutely nothing unless people are willing to enforce it, even if that means giving their lives in the name of everything it stands for. Do you think that the British gave a d**n that our forefathers signed a Declaration of Independence? h**l no, the British gave it everything they could to keep the colonies under their control, and eventually after several years they decided it wasn't worth the hassle. That's how our country gained it's independence, by the blood, sweat, and sacrifices made by thousands of "Patriots" during the course of the Revolutionary War.

I would have been proud to fight alongside George Washington, because he was willing to do the same for his men. Our forefathers reasoning for war was absolute, "No taxation without representation, Live Free or Die!" Every single one of the founding fathers of this country were intelligent, had character, and were willing to die in the name of Freedom. Our government, and the people who run it today are so far from that kind of integrity upon which our nation was founded, it's absolutely disgusting.

I'm sure that if our forefather's could have seen what an absolute mess and hypocrisy our government has become, they would probably sh*t themselves out of disbelief. They would probably be angry at the people even more than the corrupt politicians, because we let it happen without putting up any sort of fight. I don't believe that any of those politicians around today should be considered anywhere along the lines of "Patriot", because they're not. Those scumbags that wear those little flag-pins on their expensive business suits are nothing more than corrupt bureaucrats, doing everything they can to ensure that they remain in power, and that the people serve them first and foremost. They are a living embodiment of everything that was wrong and corrupt under the British, they are the reasoning for which our country was founded in the first place(Is the Federal Income Tax-"No taxation without representation?" Is the Patriot Act "Patriotic" if it destroys the 4th amendment?). I'd be damned if any one of these politicians would put their life on the line in the name of the Constitution, or any of the many things it was made for.
