  1. Yes I agree.  I've noticed it and don't know what's going to happen when my daughter gets old enough.  I think I'll send her off to be a nun.  Just kidding.  I looked in the clothes section for the teens before and they just seem to be getting smaller.  It's the clothing industry that's doing it to our young ladies.

  2. yes and its starting younger.little tiny girls should only be wearing one piece bathing suits.look at all the dolls these days..."bratz" they have gobs of makeup and little skimpy outfits, its rediculous.when my 15 yr.old daughter wears skirts(not short short ones either) i make sure she wears shorts or tights under. alot of the prob. is w/ parents that think its cute....its "NOT"

  3. i agree, they are trying to conform to a world that they should not be conforming to.

    Whatever happened to old-fashioned values?

  4. What do you mean by KIDS? Which age group are you referring to? At the 2nd grade level where I live, I'd have to say that no kid dresses out of line. Even in 5th grade, no clothing bares a lot of skin. In high school there's times when clothes bare a bit more, but it's not an every day thing either. So I think it depends on where you live, what age group you're talking about, the values of the PARENTS, etc. I don't blame the media and I don't blame dolls since we can (and I DO) explain to our kids that celebrities pay a lot of money to look the way they do and it's all about image~~that real people don't dress that way. As for the Bratz dolls~~they're little plastic dolls! How can you blame that?! Does GI Joe cause little boys to lift weights and wear skin tight clothing?! I don't think so! Besides, the Bratz dolls of today are no different than Barbie was about 20 years ago~~that was a controversial doll too, and her clothing is just as small.

So to answer your question, it's completely possible depending on different factors, but in my area it doesn't happen.
