Does anyone else crave dairy products like crazy before or during their period?

I seem to always want ice cream, cheese, or chocolate milk. I hardly ever drink milk otherwise. Why is that?

  1. Believe it or not, calcium helps with cramping and PMS symptoms.

    I always want salty stuff like chips or fries....

  3. i always crave chocolate and fries aometimes together like chcolate sundae with fries or nutella and original salted potoa crisps. i only ever eat that when i have my period. hmmm wierd but i like it

  4. i always crave ice cream too. not a big cheese fan. i don't drink chocolate milk. i throw milk back up. a little lactose intolerant. i have heard that dairy is good for you at that time of the month. avoid salt and caffeine.

Oh, heck yes, I most certainly do!  I believe it's your body telling you that you need dairy products, calcium and protein fats because you are in the process of losing so many during your "cycle".  As I begin to get older, I try to listen to these cravings even more, I think they are happening for a reason. I'm beginning to cut down on my heavy proteins like steak and such, but a couple of days before my cycle, I want a big, juicy steak, just wish I craved chocolate like normal women!  hahahaha!!!!!!!  Hope this helps you to understand what your body is telling you what it needs.
