  1. Yes. Though I'm not quite sure you mean alcohol or drinking in general.

I drink 5-8 24oz cups of water at work on an 6 hour shift 5 days a week.

It makes me pee like crazy, but I notice that when I'm stressed out I tend to get really thirsty. Mindlessly sucking water through a straw tends keeps my mind occupied. I'm sure it's not good for my kidneys having to work over time, but it tends to help me quite a bit.

  2. the problem with drinking to control your anxiety, depression, or any other emotional problems, the amount of "good" & "happy" feelings you get when you are drinking, imagine the complete opposite, and that's how you're going to feel a few hours or so after drinking. The low that you get afterwards almost makes the drinking and happy part not worth it. it's best to get proper medication (not just the fast & short acting xanax, or klonopin etc.) and counseling to help conquer this problem. Hope you feel better, I too have succumbed to the bottle when times got tough...

  3. is a dangerous road to go down, can lead to alcoholism and even more anxiety and depression (by permanently altering brain chemistry)  .. not recomendably!

  4. ya we can drink to control anxity  i had done that

  5. Xanax.

  6. Drinking will definitely control anxiety. An occasional drink to relax you, is OK. But, it should not be done on a regular basis.

Please take this into consideration. It worked for me, although I am not you.

I had overwhelming anxiety. It turned out to be my use of Splenda. Yup Splenda. How could something that taste so good, be so bad?

I like to say sucralose, not Splenda, because that is what Splenda is. And it is in a lot of stuff. The package doesn't have to say Splenda to have sucralose in it. You have to read labels. So, you might still be using it and don't even know it!

Sucralose is poison. It ruined five years of my life. I had a laundry list of medical problems while taking it, including overwhelming anxiety, depression, mood swings, insomnia and more.

Go ahead, google: anxiety splenda or anxiety sucralose or insomnia splenda or insomnia sucralose

The slogan, "Made from sugar..." is very misleading. Splenda might be made from sugar, but it is far from sugar. The resulting chemical is an organochloride (chlorocarbon). Organochlorides are typically poisons.

carbon monoxide - made from oxygen so its like a breath of fresh air

  7. I think people at places I go to do it and it sounds like to excess. I don't drink nor do I take any drugs. I guess I'm just able to manage it through healthier means such as working out and playing the piano. I also have pets that I take care of and play with. Drinking and drugs just seems like a waste of time and a bit selfish.

edit: I only feel when it's to excess. Occasionally is fine. I do drink on occasion. But I mean there are people that plan their whole lives around drinking and drugs. That's what they do on their off hours. I don't get it.

  8. Sometimes I like to have a couple of cocktails to relax and unwind. But certainly work or other places that are not appropriate are not where this should be done, there may be consequences to be paid if you are not careful. Theres a time and place for everything.

  9. I actually find that drinking makes my anxiety worse for some bizarre reason!!!!

I find that valium (diazepam) works the best for me although it does knock me out a bit!!!!

Don't drink in work, if they catch you you'll get sacked and that will only add to your problems.

  10. 5 mgs a day Xanax. You shouldn't need a drink.
