  1. Whale meat, yummmmm!!!!!!!

  2. Yes, most whales are endangered animals and I think they should definitely not be killed (especially for sport). It's amazing to me, that even though we don't know a ton about whales, people would rather kill them instead of study them.

  3. How is whaling different from any other kind of hunting? They're simply larger creatures. I feel that if I have no qualms about killing and eating an animal I have no right to judge others who do the same. If they're going to hunt for something it might as well be at the top of the food chain, removing the top doesn't destroy the rest of the food chain.

  4. According to a lot of religions or predictions the world is suppose to start the New Age 12/21/2008, where 90% of people will die.

Like it or not we are a people that eat other animals, yes it would be nice, like, when making love pink sparkles would illuminate both people.

I am more concerned for the dolphins that follow the whale as they are other mammals.

This world will take care of itself, as in an Ice Age, people are down on others because they don't procreate, they are down on the GLBT Community, as if we need more people on this Earth.

If you think it, it can happen, like a substitute for food, as I find it disgusting pouring food down my throat like a garbage disposal.

Some people are more concerned with a death of an animal then they are of human suffering, but you have to search your own heart and follow your own dream.

    Good Luck.

  5. Yes, especially when they kill to eat and not in the name of science.  Kudos to the Australian government taking the Japanese to the international court.  Sue the dirty buggers.  I am sorry, I lived in Japan and Japanese culture is repulsive.  If they don't want to believe something they lie and come up with sorry excuses because they are not able to think logically.

You have to read about the sumo wrestler that died at the hands of his stable master.  The police tried to cover it up in Nagoya, Japan.  They are dirty snakes!  I cannot stand the police in Japan.  They chase after bicycles instead of solving crimes.

It is the same with whaling.

  6. TAKE ACTION... follow this link and write a letter to support the end of slaughtering an endangered species...

    http://www.hsus.org/marine_mammals/

    save_whales_not_whaling/take_action/

(please paste into browser... had to split it up because yahoo answers doesnt allow links... bum)

rants are empty without action, jmho

Brian whatever... "cows, goats, sheep" are abundant... these whales aren’t abundant, they are endangered species... thus the argument. duh

  7. When I think of whaling I think of the past. A romantic adventure, of men setting out to sea for years at a time, putting their lives on the line to feed their family. Chasing a whale in a boat, powered by nothing by the arms and backs of the people rowing it. One man on the bow taking the cold ocean spray with a harpoon in his hand. Once they harpooned the whale they hung on for dear life, for hours preying the whale did not have the strength to pull them under or the smarts to whack them with its tail. No life jackets, no survival suites, no fear. Then the towed literally tons of oil and blubber with the same muscles that got them there...

That was whaling in the past... and thats where it belongs.

I don't support green peace, they ignore science, and follow their hearts too much.

Which was the reason why one of the founder abandoned the organization years ago. "By the mid-1980s, the environmental movement had abandoned science and logic in favor of emotion and sensationalism. I became aware of the emerging concept of sustainable development: balancing environmental, social and economic priorities. Converted to the idea that win-win solutions could be found by bringing all interests together, I made the move from confrontation to consensus." -Patrick Moore

With this issue however, science and emotions seem to be on the same page. But I am slightingly offended by people making judgments on the entire Japanese culture over this issue. The term "j**s" is a derogatory term, please don't use it. I've seen it used on posts on this topic in the past. Thanks

  8. Why would one be disgusted at the whaling empire of japan, when we kill cows, goats, sheep, and other animals for meat and or pet meat, it's called sustenance.

  9. Yes, you can find me WAILING all the time about something...haha. Seriously, I am with you. What did those poor, harmless whales ever do to anybody? It's just so sad and it makes me angry...

  10. Brian h makes sense, i give him 20 thumbs up!

  11. People need to realise the whales they are killing are endangered species. We have so many other things to eat in the world why on earth would we want to slaughter such endangered intelligent animals. Humans breed animals to eat, manufacture and grow all kinds of foods, why is it that people cannot enjoy the beauty of these animals but rather look at them as another way to make money, without any empathy at all. People who don't see a problem with it should go whale watching and see how calm and peaceful they are, then ask yourself would you be happy watching a whaling boat come by and violently rip them out of the sea?

You can sign a petition on the greenpeace website if you want to help some way.

  12. Definitely. It's such a pig-headed act to do. I sponsor the Sea Shepard, and when we went to visit them, they told us all about Japan, and apparently they hardly use whale meant at all in human food...instead they use it in cat and dog food and they really don't need it. They only continue because they don't want to be seen like they can be pushed around.
