I personally feel like the COT has made every single race BORING AS h**l!!!;can't pass, can't turn, going slower than previous cars, etc.I like the fact that they are safer, but that is it.Here is the best way to get my point across: I almost fell asleep during the last two Bristol races!!!!wtf?

  1. ummm like tony said it makes a great lawn mower

  2. No, not at all. Bristol just got repaved with tiered banking which alot of people blamed.

  3. Sometimes the answer is yes. I definately believe the car to be safer and more durable. No way Kyle would have won Darlington had that been the car of yesterday. I believe the new cars design has allowed drivers to drive them like they drive the craftsman trucks. I like the look and the safety. As for the speed and excitement? I think the teams will figure those things out as they continue to race these things. Rest assured as soon as they do NASCAR will change something and s***w it up again.

  4. It sure did away with the old theory of "what wins on Sunday, sells on Monday"

  5. I feel that way sometimes dude ! But.... maybe they'll get it worked out soon?  Don't quit now man !!!Wait and see the Michigan race?.... It'll be a good show !!!

If you don't agree come Monday? I'll give ya my lap bonus points !!!

  6. The COT inovation made the field level, for the time being. The boring comes from the fact that we got use to the same 4 or 5 running away now thwere is a freight train running and it is boring to some.

But the "ruining" of NASCAR came back in the 70's when they changed from "Detroit" cars to shop pressed ouot sheet metal. The COT brings back some of the pre 70's handling and competition.

  7. My issue with the COT is that it's ugly. Doesn't look like a car anymore, more like a brick with wheels.

Bring back the old cars, make some modifications. At least they look like a car.

  8. Definitely improved the races.  The races are a heck of alot more exciting now.

  9. It's one of those things where you love it or you love to hate it. If your a Kyle Busch fan you hate it along with most other fans for that matter, the only time I have ever really seen good  passing in a NASCAR race was at Lowe's Motor Speedway, however it has created more side-by-side racing, and when you are side by side in the old car it was almost inevidable not to get turned around with this cars it is almost impossible.

  10. The only thing that put a damper on NASCAR is all the restrictive rules and regulations. I think if the technicians would open their minds a little more they could slip past some of these restrictions without getting penalized and make racing more of an awe inspiring sport. NASCAR is a technology driven sport and I would hate to be running against the team with the "evil" technicians.

  11. it has affected Nascar but not ruined it. The sport is just as popular and exciting as ever. The racing does get boring at times but it was like that with the other car at times. Daytona was a good race with the car and yes Bristol was kinda boring but that is because these cars don't sustain damage like the old car. I definatly don't like the fact that a car can hit the wall or another car and run just as fast on the track. That is ridiculous.

  12. If they wanted the IROC series they should have revamped it instead of turning the cup series into IROC.  Very sad.

  13. I certainly am not a fan of the COT, and not necessarily because of how they drive it, but because of the way NASCAR is handling it.

The aero package of the COT favors clean air so whoever is out front tends to check out on the pack. This isnt fun to watch at all, especially on tracks where the leaders wont be catching lapped traffic. It effects stratagey as well because track position is so much more important since its harder to race your way to the front than it was in the past.

With all that said, teams are trying to find ways to make their cars race-able and NASCAR wont let them. While YAWing out the front ends (crab walking) wasn't pretty it certainly helped guys get a handle on the car and kept them from getting loose while trying to make a pass. With that gone you see guys get up to the rear bumper of someone then lag 2-3 car lengths back right away.

There needs to be some give and take with NASCAR and the COT so that it is semi fair but also allows for competitive set ups.

  14. I do not like this car, you are correct that it has removed racing from the equation, racing would involve passing and actual speed and handling which this car does not have

  15. no did not ruin if anything it put everyone back to square one and keeps the cheaters more honest as they do not know what to do to these cars

  16. I think the racing has been fantastic.  As long as the races are competetive, I don't care what they drive.
