I feel sad because it does show that there is an afterlife, but people can get stuck. It would be horrid to get stuck.

What do you think?

  1. It may be sad to you, but consider this....the Spirit may not be ready to move on to the next life.

The following conjectures have been made:

Some die horribly, without warning, and may feel they've left something undone.

Some may want to remain in surroundings that are familiar, and not want to change.  As an aside....it's been a familiar pattern in my 28 years as a Paranormal Examiner that with any change, demolition, or remodeling of a structure, the Activity seems to increase.  Again, the resistance to change.

Be not sad for them.  After all, they are no longer in pain, and have no worries or stressful situations to deal with.....unlike the Living.

  2. Sad? No. It is uproariously good fun.

If one felt it sad one must not be in on the joke.

  3. What the heck are you smoking. It might be part of the process of life and death.

  4. I like the movie Ghost.  People do get stuck. If you are aware of that, then it is your responsibility to help them cross over.  Begin learning.

  5. Ghost Hunters is a bunch of baloney! I feel sad that people believe that show is for real.

  6. How would you even know that you were stuck?

For all you know, you're stuck right now.

Repeating this life over and over and over.

  7. Me too. I think that's why some churches say to pray for them. Some people think it doesn't do any good to pray for people after they die...but I think..if nothing else..it helps US..It's at least something we can do...along with lighting candles for them and putting flowers on their graves. And, if they CAN see and hear us...they'll at least know we care about them.

  8. I would dispute your statement that Ghost Hunters shows there's an afterlife.  I have yet to see any compelling evidence for an afterlife.

The only sad thing I can see about Ghost Hunters is how credulous the audience is.

  9. Dont be sad i think we have ghosts because some people dont want to go into the light right away and ofcourse some dont want to see what is waiting for them on the outher side.

Some people are headed for Heaven and some people are headed stright to h**l,so anyone headed for h**l will try to postpone their trip by hanging around as a ghost.

Just put your faith and trust in Jesus

  10. Yes, I feel sad that people believe and patronise these con artists.

There is nothing lower than preying on the foolish and gullible.

  11. Dear Poster,

I feel sad when I see ghost hunters because they are so unscientific in their approach to the topic.  It would be better if they would state things move objectively rather than the typical "it feels cold over here" comments.  Instead, they could back up that comment with some digital temperature readings and thermal imaging.  Together it would paint a more convincing picture of what they are experiencing.

Additionally, they need to start recording stuff better...  they will fire out a question for a "ghost" and not give it the time of day to respond.  Also, I have noticed that they are able to prod the "ghost" into speaking, or reacting.  They need to do this more often and actually test the "ghost's" capabilities.  For instance, on the Tate Murders episode, they asked for the room to get colder and it did, but they never showed this on infrared.

A more direct answer to your question would be this:

I do believe people "get stuck" as it were in limbo after they die.  Yes, the occurrence of speaking "ghosts" would seem to indicate, assuming it is valid and true, that spirits are indeed neither here nor there.  From a reading of the Bible it is apparent that there is a Heaven and h**l.  So, it would seem, if spirits are wandering, then they are in neither place but rather just floating about aimlessly.  This makes sense in the Biblical sense.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say you go to Heaven when you die.  Nowhere in the Bible does it say you go to h**l when you die.  Rather you are assigned to one or the other at the Judgment Day.

A logical conclusion would state that if we have a spirit and if it does depart from us when the mortal body subsides that it is still eternal and therefore made of God, and if it is, all spirits are his to judge.  Because there is a seemingly large abundance of spirits in diverse places as indicated on "Ghost Hunters" it would seem apparent that these represent the past living and now dead AND that they are not bound to one place or the next (i.e. they can roam, move, relocated, "haunt", etc.).

The Bible makes it pretty clear that souls are judged later at the Judgment a future event mentioned throughout the Bible and more specifically in the book of Revelation.  So, from a Biblical reading of "Ghost Hunters', if spirits are being caught by the ghost hunters, perhaps this demonstrates what we should already know:  No person since the beginning of time is either in Heaven or h**l, so it makes sense that with so many spirits wandering that you would be able to communicate, assuming the communication lines between the living and dead are open and viable.

Secondly, what does Jesus say about it?  In John 14:2, "In my Father's house (Heaven) are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." And in John 14:3 Jesus says, "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." And in Verse 6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

So, taken together it seems that Jesus is preparing heaven for those who believe in him and those people only to the exclusion of all others.  And, if spirits walk the earth in "limbo" and are not judged and you can't get into Heaven or h**l without first being judged, then the spirits who roam are the accumulated dead from thousands of years (Consider the Ireland episodes, when the ghosts speak in ancient dialects - as far as we are told - of course) awaiting judgment, however I don't know if they understand what's coming...

It is my experience that they do not understand that they are stuck, but they do know that they are dead.  I would ill advise against it, but you can communicate with the dead.  I have done it many times and will not do it ever again.  It is super creepy, however from it, you can get some answers.

But beware, the spirits can lie as well and will purposefully misdirect and mislead you at times.  This is how I know that they understand that they are dead.  The funny thing is, by their manner of response it is as if they are not even aware sometimes.  They can only respond to a question and, in my experience, have never initiated a conversation.  Their answers are always simple and never elaborated.  They will answer indefinitely it seems with no care for time or location.  By location I mean that you can "communicate" with the same spirit hundreds of miles away.  They seem to be able to locate each other, i.e., when you ask for a spirit to locate another spirit whom they have never met before they can return with that "person" and the person you requested will give you idiosyncratic responses indicating they are the person you requested.

Consider the Sixth Sense (movie) at your leisure, which hit the topic head on.

So, in closing, we will all be "stuck" as you put it at the point after we die, the only difference will be whether we are going to be in line for Heaven or h**l.  Think about it, you'll be dead a lot longer than you will be alive which is an interesting thought.  The Bible, despite its pious reputation speaks volumes on the subject you are inquiring about and is by no means shy about the subject.  Read Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Revelation for a whole lot more on the topic of spirits, demons, angels, afterlife, etc.

The only "horrid" part will be in that place one day having never chosen Jesus as the way into Heaven.

I hope this helps:  "Seek and ye shall find ..." after all, the answers are there if you are willing to find them.

  12. Well, I don't watch those shows, but it does make me sad when I run across one that hasn't crossed, as most of their stories are heart breaking. I had one little boy, 5 years old, who got seperated from his mother and froze to death trying to look for her.

  13. My late father used to have a precognition dream  when anyone in the family was going to die. In it he would hear this beautiful woman's voice singing. However, when my mother passed away of a stroke,I asked him if he had heard "The Singer".He said no.Instead,he had a dream of momma. She

was moving about and walking around. Daddy said to her,Emma, you're walking! And she said to him,Yes Fred,I'm better now.You see,she was palayzed on one side and unable to walk because of the stroke.

Daddy said he and momma walked arm and arm in this beautiful garden, and there were other people in it.Some of whom he recognized and they hadn't seen in years.

Did he have some glimspe of Heaven,I believe so.

When momma died,on occassion we would get a wiff of Jungle Gardenia perfume, which she liked. Also,in the house one got the feeling there was something there. This feeling was there for a few days after she passed on.Then one day,my sister and i were waiting in the car for our dad. While sitting there,we got a strong smell of her perfume, and then it was gone.It was like she was telling us good bye.

After that day, we all felt she had moved on.She was just hanging around like a good mom to check on her family and make sure we were okay.

However, when my dad passed on,we didn't get that sense or feeling he was hanging around. Daddy was gone,he was finally together again with his one true love, our mom.

    He knew we'd be okay.

They chose to move on,they didn't have to stay.I think spirits do have some choice in the matter, and i believe many do go to heaven or some such place like my parents.

I always recall my dad saying that he couldn't understand why anyone would want to haunt the graveyard one was buried in,there were a lot better places to be when you're dead.

Maybe these spirits get stuck because they have unfinished business or for some other reason.I can only speak for my own family and relatives.

That there is an afterlife is evident since ancient man has buried tools and other items with the dead.Where or how they were shown there was an afterlife,I don't know, but the belief is universal.

We will all know the answer for ourselves one day.
