  1. I personally feel that they are over-dramatic about several situations.  They care more about animals' rights than human rights, and that's a little much.  Then if someone is not as sensitive as they are about animal rights, they completely attack them.

I didn't like how they setup an interview with Beyonce posing as a magazine publication, and at the dinner they completely attacked her for wearing fur coats in the past.  Not everyone has to share the same views.  Living life is about individuality.

  2. PETA is a cult. Don't listen to them.

  3. Makes you want to shoot them...

  4. They went a little overboard with the Eight Belles Tragedy but I don't think they went overboard with this. Why do they have to shoot the pigeons in order to get them off the court? They could have somebody shew them away or they could use more hawks then they already are using. I don't think that shooting a pigeon for no reason is an acceptable option.

  5. I think PETA has a lot of drama queens, and I think they don't know what they're talking about a lot.

“Since the use of marksmen to kill pigeons appears to have been carried out as a first, rather than a last resort, and not out of a concern for public health, but rather because the animals were deemed inconvenient by players, you appear to be in clear violation of the law,”

Pigeons pooping on tables isn't healthy and the first resort were hawks.

I'm not saying people should go around killing pigeons, but I don't think it was that big of a deal.

  6. I really do try to be sympathetic and understanding to these people and their plight, but gosh it's seems like every little thing they're bitching and moaning about. Okay killing pigeons isn't a good thing and I am not condoning that, but gosh PETA, relax a little.

I just don't understand why every time they come to the rescue of some cause, they seem to do it in this hostile, interrogating manner. Almost like they're saying: "if you don't do what I tell you to do, you will suffer the consequences."

  7. Yeah. They've gone way overboard!

  8. I understand. Killing pigeons isn't a good thing. They have gone super overboard with this.

  9. As a strong advocate of animal rights, I am torn about PETA. I don't like some of the tactics that they use, but without them, many instances of animal abuse wouldn't be widely known about. They come on a little too strong but at the same time, they are one of the few non-profit organizations that actually accomplishes a great deal of what they set out to do.

In this case, I do not feel they are overreacting. There was no need to kill the pigeons. Birds are very easy to shoo away.
