  1. Those who helped instate the income tax would **** themselves if they saw what it's become today. There was originally a limit of 1 percent of your wages, but when it came time to renew it congress didn't vote on it because they said it was absurd to think that it could ever get that high.

"a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defence of custom. But the tumult soon subsides. Time makes more converts than reason."

    -Thomas Paine

  2. I konw!

i cannot stand it! it really bugs me!

we even get taxed when a loved one dies!!

  3. i would say "vote republican" to end that, but even i have to admit, that won't help.  the republicans are all acting like democrats, and have been for years (tax and spend)....

  4. They used to be invincible, but recently they have started losing cases. Maybe this will bring their humility up a notch.

  5. Your right!  It may be time for another tea party!

  6. it will only get worse w/ obama, know the truth b4 you vote

  7. I think we should include the IRS as part of our war on terrorism. Yeah way too much power.

  8. Yes. and most of it goes to banks which don't owe any money.

  9. well.....i sort of see what you are saying, but your question is not really a fair question as to the IRS.  IRS does not tax you when you spend your money or when you save it.  They only tax you on earned income.  IF your savings are investments and make you money that is earned income and becomes taxable as all income should be.

Furthermore, IRS is only an agency of the government and only does what congress and the president by law make them do.  So if you have a beef with the IRS, then you really have a beef with  the politicians who empower and control it.

  10. It never ends. But it sure doesn't hurt to vote against a democrat.
