Does anyone else feel the opposite of what the media says about McCain & Palin speeches?

The media said how great Palin's speech was, I hated it, I found it to bery spiteful, sarcastic and lacking substance.

The media says McCain's speech was "okay" and I actually enjoyed it, no it was not anything "flashy" but I did find it to be a solid speech.

Anyone else have this sort of opposite reaction to the speeches?

I thought Palin's speech was great.  She did what she was supposed to do--people got to know her a little bit, and she got her jabs in--no different than Biden's speech.  McCain is not a great speaker--it was a solid speech--I agree with you on that.  It touched me, brought a tear to my eyes and I believe he does love his country and will work hard.   ***

after McCain spoke, I was inspired, then I had to remind myself of his policies and who he chose as a VP
