Does anyone else find it funny that the Red Sox and Yankees fans and teams continually worry about each other?

And the Angels are the best team in baseball and are flying under the radar the whole season and will most likely knock one of those two teams out of the playoffs? Am I the only one that think the Angels are silent assassins as they gain game after game in their division and will be able to most likely rest a lot of their players the last month of the season because of their double-digit division lead? Your thoughts? They are the most under-rated team and are just wininng game after game!

oh you're DEFINITELY not the only one who thinks that the angels are quiet predators. I've gotten used to the feeling though.. i guess a lot of people just aren't interested (the yanks vs boston rivalry is really intense i admit ^^).. fine be that way.. sorry we don't have enough superstars for ya

I think a lot of people are stuck on the whole "angels can't beat boston postseason or at fenway" state of mind which is probably why they don't take the angels seriously.

well, although there is frustration, there is some positive to being under the radar.. at least you don't have any distractions..

Well it's not necessarily the fact that Yankee and Red Sox fans care or worry so much about the opposition, it's the fact that each side is ALWAYS trying to one-up the other. For example, say, I don't know .. the Twins swept the Yankees. Red Sox fans laugh and talk about it for a few days. Then, say the Tigers come in and dismantle them 12-2. Yankee fans laugh and talk about that until a certain game/event shuts them up. It's a never-ending cycle.

I agree with you. As a Yankee fan, the Angels are the only team who intimidate me. Yankee fans aren't really "worried" about the Sox, but we just find the rivalry fun.

The Angels have about a 70% chance to win the World Series, but the Red Sox and Yankees have a rivalry, and it's going to be a close division, so why waste time hating on the Angels when Sox and Yankee fans can hate on each other?

I agree completely. The Angels are an awesome team. I do wish that both Yankee and Red Sock fans would stop using Y!A to spite eachother. It's starting to upset me.

i am scared of the angels

were not that good agenst dem

but this season its differnt

becuz wat u need in the playoffs is good pitching in short series and we now have joba and andy is always good in the postseason which makes this year a little  differnt to me so im anxious to see what will happen

Yeah, both teams fans and organizations are idiots, why in the blue h**l should they care about winning their division, when we can worry about the the division on the other coast.

Just because the AL West has no competition besides Texas, doesn't mean the AL East should subscribe to your theory and worry about the Angels.

There are no guarantees for the playoffs until the magic number is zero... that's why the playoff posters for last year had Met players on them...
