Does anyone else find it funny that we lost the rugby?

I find it hilarious! I hate rugby, but I think it's funny how we people were saying that the Southern Hemisphere teams were so much stronger etc etc. So many people thought NZ was going to win! I also find it funny that Australia lost to England haha!

lol so do I .. lol last night I told everyone we were going to lose .. no one believed me .. and now whos laughing lol.. New Zealand counted their chickens before they hatched! Ive never like rugby go soccer and the Wellington Phoniex!! Anyhow if we won no one would bother comming to NZ for the next world cup .. so our economy won lol!

Join the club.  I hate rugby and I think it's funny that the All Blacks got their asses whipped, and they're such lousy sports that they blamed their coaches and the referee.  The French have done us a favour.  It almost makes up for the Rainbow Warrior bombing.  Merci beaucoup mes amis.

How sad another four years and that's all I can say.  Yes we did get complacent, and the media did over hype them, but they were outplayed and that should not be forgotten.  I just wonder if we will ever win the Rugby World Cup.

Hee hee I love rugby, however I do think it's rather funny that we lost because we were so up ourselves about it. Hopefully the All Blacks will have learned their lesson and not be so cocky in future.

I don't agree with the rugby sucks things, but I do agree, it's funny, after all the vacationing and training they did, their 'carefully laid out' training plans didn't succeed.

I'm sad for them, but it is kind of funny!

umm...seriously it is NOT funny..coz nz WOULD hav won if da ref. hadnt spotted da forward pass by france..it jus make our pain worse coz it wasnt our playing dat made us lost it waz bad refereeing!! i hope argentina win... n im not complainin dat the aussies lost.

I don't know what game you people saw, but New Zealand dominated the entire match and destroyed the French scrum.  Had there been a decent referee the game could've easily ended 30 - 10 for the All Blacks.  The French made so many fouls the last 10 minutes that it is disugsting that not even one was called, diving, handling in ruck, offsides...  You name it!  And that advantage not given at the 79th minute???  INCREDIBLE

I didn't think it was funny at all! Very poor referee who seemed very biased to me. The New Zealand teams is a very proud team and not arrogant at all. I am very sorry for them!

hehe I was a bit shocked that we lost, because of all the hype surrounding the game! I'd actually come to believe all those people who said it would be a Southern Hemisphere final (I don't know much about rugby so don't really have my own opinions). But I got over it quickly!! My workmate is a HUGE rugby fan, and hasn't showed up to work yet ha ha (no message from her, she usually starts about 6:30am and it's now 8:30) so she's probably feeling depressed somewhere. I don't see the big deal myself, you win some you lose some! Let's just prepare for the onslaught in 4 years time when it's in our own country!! (might have to stay indoors the entire time for safety!!)

I'm not a rugby fan either but it's always nice to see New Zealand win when they only have 4 million people compared to the many millions in other countries. We should be proud to be competitive  strong and good sports. They are representing our country which is great.

Yes, I found it amusing.  My husband being an ex Kiwi didn't share this view.  He is in a state of Mourning.  I've got to say however, all the Aussies Ive spoken to around here don't seem to give a d**n or even seem to know what I'm on about.  Rugby Union doesn't seem to be that popular .
