  4. Yes sometimes My boyfirend loves the way I cook and his boys too but everytime I cook it I always think theres something wrong.

  5. yeah thats so true

  6. Always!  Food cooked by someone else always taste better!

Especially for dinner parties or entertaining, I usually dont even have an appetite by the time my guests arrive.  Maybe because I have been around food the whole day, tasting, aromas.... I feel full and not hungry at all.  It just makes me a better hostess since I can be attentive to my guests!

  7. that's a description of me.

  8. The biggest reasons are:

1.You are surrounded by the smells and adapt to it (as is normal) so the gradient of smell/taste isn't as large as it would otherwise be (weird, but if you spent all day at a garbage dump, after a while you wouldn't even smell the garbage; it's true).

2.You just worked hard and are tired, I guess

3.You are overly critical of your work or other people's approval of said work.

Mostly I think it's #1 and it has happened to me.

  9. I'm a chef so yes. I prepare award winning food at work and then end up having beans on toast or a take-away at home!!

  10. lol that happens to me a lot!!!!!"

Even a salad tastes better to me if somebody else makes it.

  13. Yes every time I cook a sunday dinner.I cannot eat it.lol

  14. yes, mainly its because i've looked at it for so long

  15. I do enjoy the food I've cooked, but mostly if it's something I can eat the day after, like a cake or chilli (which gets better fro the next couple of days after it's cooked). Food never seems to taste as good when you've just finished cooking.

  16. All the time. Dont know why but its true.

  17. No, I'm not sure if its a sense of accomplishment that makes it taste better or the lack of preservatives or other additives that makes the taste more appealing.  Either way I would much rather eat food I prepare than from a drive-thru or take out any day.

  18. I love my own food i cook. I know it is cooked properley and  has flavor to it.

  19. Me!

I get sick and tired of smelling it by the time its done - unless I'm famished..

  20. yes wen someone else is cooking it tastes so much better but wen i cook for myself i dont enjoy it

  21. No.  I prefer food I have cooked myself to food someone else has cooked simply because I have put the effort in to make it.

  22. BIG TIME DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. Yes, I don't really enjoy eating what i have cooked, especially if it has taken a long time to prepare.

By the time it comes to do the eating I am so sick of even the concept of whatever food it is my appetite for it has quite gone.

  26. Yes. Especially fish lamb or sea food.

  27. yeah, the person wouldn't really eat much of his food even when it's really delicious

  28. Yeah. I'm one of 8 people in my house, and they all love my cooking, but I eat it and don't think it's good at all...

    I don't know why.

  29. Thats because you know what you wanted it to taste like. If something is a little bit off you know it and would like to make it better.

  30. Some times, especially if I have sent ages cooking a big meal for all the family. I often sit down and just don't fancy eating it.

  31. I always enjoy my own cooking, I think it's because I cook it the way my mother taught me.
