Does anyone else get pissed when their laptop is left on ALL night?

I don't have a cooling dock or anything because I turn my computer off when I'm done using it and don't use it for HOURS at a time. It really really bothers me when someone leaves it on all night and then when I use it the next day it's all hot and struggling. Like they don't realize what it's doing.

Yes, this really pisses me off. My laptop sometimes comes out of hibernation by itself, and I wake up to find it running, and burning hot!

no....when my laptop is on the power supply, I leave it on, day and night. It is a member workstation for the domain and is doing work.

I sometimes leave mine on, but its never that hot...

Yes, I don't like my machine to keep switched on once I am done. I always make sure to switch it off after I am done with my work.

you can set it so it will go to sleep or hibernate after X amount of hours of not using it. go to the control panel and then go to power options if you have vista im not sure what the short cut is called in Xp. but anyway set it so it will go to sleep and it will turn off the parts of the computer with out actually shutting down. so it wont get hot.
