Does anyone else get the irony of G. Bush demanding that Russia get out of Georgia?

the difference is we didnt invade iraq, we are there to help the people establish a democratic nation. the russians want to invade and retake geoirga, that is a major difference in policy. we havent gained anything by being in iraq, cause we sure dont own or didnt take over their oil fields, if we had we wouldnt be paying so much for oil. i think sadam had enough sence to remove the wmds before our inspectors got there , i think people with any real common sence knows that. the iraqi desert is a a vast place and those things could have been hidden anywhere. the fact that we didnt find them didnt mean they werent there. but everyone that opposes bush is always so ready to just call him a liar. even bill clinton defended him on that one. i am a democrat who chose to vote for Bush, because i knew he would not be so eaisly pushed around . people so quickly forget 9/11 and the 3000 plus americans that lost their lives that day. what would you have us do, sit back and wait for them to hit us again? americans have fought in many wars , i am not pro-war but i do think sometimes it can and has to be necessary. if someone invaded florida, i seriously doubt anyone would want to just sit back and let it happen. the russians have done this same type thing with Georiga , i really doubt the us will become involved militarily because we are already stretched to thin. if you ask a soldier if hes proud of his service in Iraq or Afganistan i would be certain that 90 percent or more would say that they are. after all they are helping to defend our freedom. i am the proud wife of an american soldier who served his country in Iraq, and was proud to do so. and he  has told me many times , if he had it to do over he would do the same. so instead of so much Bush bashing , isnt it time we were more supportive of our soldiers .

what irony?  we went into Iraq because Iraq continuously violated the UN cease-fire from its invastion of Kuwait.  the invasion by russia into Georgia is more similar to Iraq's invasion of Kuwait.

I guess he's right.  I cannot think of another country that invaded another country in the 21st century.

This is alot different form iraq invasion.  In the war on Iraq, its more of  a unconventional warfare.

but what we are seeing here is two countries(Georgia and Russia) fighting.  Georgia  did little assault on Russia but then Russia went all out just bombing Georgia at will.

Yes, and it's just more of the same.  The man has already mentally retired and left Washington, not that he arrived there with much of anything.  He seems to be looking for a war, with anybody, to hand over to the next President.  The man is all heart!
