Question:

Does anyone else get the rib/muscle pain?

Hiya, Im 30 weeks and have been getting pain wrapping around my lower ribs (and just below ribs) and in my back for about 4 weeks now. Generally, it use to be at the end of the day, now i can get it as early as 2 hours after I get to work. Its not a severe pain but it isn't pleasant, like I've done loads of sit ups and my muscles are really tired. I know its completely OK to have these pains but was wondering if anyone else was experiencing them and if you found any sitting positions better for easing the pain or any other tips you might have?

I work 40hrs, at a desk mostly but am able to move around freely.

    And sucks too! I get muscle pain on my leg a lot!

    I prefer to put some ice on it or something!

    It's works REALLY good!

  2. 40 hours at a desk and pregnant! you're setting yourself up for DVT and then pulmonary embolism.

I sit at a desk all day also and still have this problem some.  But my baby has seemed to drop some, so I don't get it very often anymore.  What I would try doing is sitting up more straight.  But this didn't always work either.  Sometimes I would stand up for a few minutes and try stretching.  

  5. Yes I have these pains as well and to be honest it only gets worse. Your uterus is getting really close to the bottom of your rib cage so it will begin to press on your ribs and can overlap your ribs as well.

    Try not to lean forward too much and have a nice pillow or cushion behind your back for support. When it gets hard to bear in bed, propping yourself up more with pillows also helps.
