Does anyone else get this on halo 3?

you party up with people on ranked,do effin brilliantly ( like my 8 wins in a row just now) and the american guys skill levels go up 3 or 4 times and you get jack-****?

i'll tell you why the american went up 3 or 4 times and you didn't. it's probably because he had a LOT less games played than you, and probably got more kills and less deaths than you in the games. you have 800 games played, so that means you level up 10 times as slow as someone who has 300 games played. it's a wierd calculation, but a main factor is how many matchmade games you've played. the more you've played, the slower you level up. also, the better you do each game (k/d spread), the faster you level up. but you can't do amazing in a game and expect to go up as fast, the total number of matchmade games is too big a factor to cover up. sorry, if you had less games you'd be able to level up faster. good luck with you and The colonel grade 2! hopefully you'll get your 20 =) i'd be willing to help you too, but i'm on a family account-my cousins play on it a lot and ruined its levels and k/d ratio. my GT is "wasted_djsunny"-ASK FOR SUNNY.

Your rank is calculated in a weird way. The equation they use involves other measurements and the overall thing is complicated. Basically, to start with you'll level up (or down) quite quickly but as you get better and better it takes more to go up (or down).

that happened with me! except we won 15 in a row, i wuz the american, i went up 7 lvls (yah!) and my british friend went up 9 (and i wuz lower than him). Hey, wats your GT? maybe if we team up on doubles or slayer, WE WILL RANK RIGHT!!!! YEAH!!!!!! Im a 28 in slayer i think, 38 in doubles, 26 in S.W.A.T., and 44 in Lone Wolves. Im a colonel grade 2

Halo 3's Skill Ranking System is retarded in the way that you have to have your team win. You could get 3 Overkills and a Killtacular and it wouldn't do anything.
