Its showing all different thrill seekers, getting more and more daring, and them it finally shows a fighter aircraft, which is widely considered to be one of the most thrilling things in the world.

You'll notice that the one kid that was the focus of each scene was always out front leading the way to greater and greater risks and challenges.  That's what the commercial meant.  The AF wants someone who's not afraid to push the limit, and wants the dangerous challenges.
