Does anyone else go on cleaning sprees right before their period?

Ok, so I like things to be neat and clean most of the time but right before i get my period and while I'm on it I go on crazy cleaning sprees. I clean and de clutter everything in the apt and I feel like everything has to be perfect or I go nuts haha do any other females go through this?

YES! All my friends think I'm crazy! I think it's just because we feel like it's one less thing to worry about because sometimes we feel like we get really stressed on our periods and don't even have the time to change a tampon. A clean house is just one thing less to worry about.

I think im the opposite lol.

I do however go on cleaning sprees when I have a big essay or report due for uni, I just procrastinate and find any excuse under the sun to do something other than researching haha.

lol i kinda do, my room has to be SPOTLESS or i freak out and like i have to clean, it reminds me of OCD

Yes, I have done this for years!   I believe it has to do with hormones, (obviously).  It's like the "nesting" instinct we go through when we are pregnant and all our hormones are out of whack

I really enjoy it. I know my house will get a good cleaning once a month!

Also, I noticed that I am usually attracted to clothes that have colors of red or white or both, when I'm on my period.

I do this every once in a while, and I'm not even a neat freak. It's a symptom of pregnancy to 'nest', and sometimes PMS can give you different symptoms of pregnancy, 'nesting' being one.

I usually go on a chocolate spree before my period.  A cleaning spree would be so much healthier....LOL.
