Does anyone else have a strong dislike for texting and IM?

Question

So, yes. I may be a minority, but I hate text messaging with a passion. I have only sent 1 or 2 messages since 2003.

As for IM's the last time I had a serious chat was about 2001. I've switched PC's a couple of times and haven't even bothered to install IM.

Do any other folks like me exist out there or I'm I a freak of nature here? ;)

I don't really enjoy talking on the phone, so I love texting and IMing:( Sorry. I can see why some people wouldn't like it though. You're not a freak of nature:)

WOW!!!!!!i don't like texting either(well i have to pay for it) or i don't get why people think their cool cuz of their cell phone.

'Text speech' is alright, as long as it's kept in it's place. When people start writing essays in such language (I have actually seen this happen, believe it or not) or actually speaking it (i.e. 'Like, I gtg to the mall. Brb.), that becomes very annoying.

I mostly text but I can't stand it when people go "w@t r U d01ng 2d@y?!?!?!" "l1k 0MG, 1 c@n"t B L3v3 5h3 dd1d d@t!!!!!!"

It looks like they are coding a game.

I can't stand IMing.  I mostly text instead of talk but I can;t stand IMs!!!  ITS SO ANNOYING!!!
