I sware my credit card gets to about $3 left and BAMM a fee came out of no where, and the only time I ever see this fee is when I get low on on my card, Then on my checking account they tend to charge double for overdraft fees, I over do it one time and they charge me double then I ask them and they say O there is this dollor access fee charged on the same day so that means you over drafted twice. so you still owe us $70 in over draft fees.

What the h**l, its hard enough to keep up with bills and food and stuff and then I suddenly have another $35 thats not even my fault,

I think I'm being ripped off.

does anyone else have the same problem

  1. I hear this time and time again with Atlanta area banks, NOT just one, as Bk of America.  It is important to understand when YOU use the services of a bank YOU have responsibilities.  In this case, understand YOUR type of account and, if necessary, change to another or change banks, look into a "credit union" as well.  "Get" and "read" as YOU should have in the beginning YOUR type of account contract and YOU WILL see where the, so called, "hidden" costs are generated.

Banks operate for "profit" using YOUR money, times everyone else, to invest and other ways to "generate" profit, and, at times, when YOUR account is at a "minimum" it becomes "unuseful", therefore, "costs" are reflected to maintain.  It takes on a different "look" by the "bank" YOUR "low balance" becomes a "burden", MORE costs to keep in system.

Recently, customer service at Bk of America has improved to great lengths.  Make an appointment to meet with a representative for further understanding and get suggestions from them as well.

  2. same problem different bank.  I think theyre all the same unfortunately.

  3. Find a credit card that doesn't have an annual fee.  That is what it sounds like you are getting hit with.

Find another bank, overdraft should only be $25 to $35, not $70.
