  1. kat baby, I feel your pain. I suffered a brutal marriage to a nasty woman for 23 excruciating years who would make Hitler appear an angel. After she spent all my money and ruined my life she finally had enough mercy to divorce me. I am back on my feet now and happy  with a new wife and wonderful children. Once in awhile while sleeping I will have a bad dream/flashback from my past marriage and go berserk. My new wife will clean up the bed and provide comfort reassuring me the nightmare is over.

  2. First of all you are not alone.   I also suffer from ptsd.   Flashbacks are horrible and I am learning to deal with them more.  I also get nightmares where i sometimes scream or kick...just last night this happened and caused my husband to not get enough sleep.  Then i start to feel guilty again and not worthy of him. its a visious cycle.  fortunatly for me my husbands lets me know he is here for me always

I hope you also have or can find somone in your life to help you as well through the flashabcks and other hard times

    take care and God bless

  3. oh yes i do that too!

  4. While most of my flashbacks are now a thing of the past, one of the things that my therapist recommended when I was having them was to carry something small with me that would help self-soothe me when I had a flashback and couldn't get away.  It could be anything from a small stuffed animal to a stone (For example, amber is a healing stone or malachite is used for protection or just a stone that is a favorite stone of yours.) to a lucky rabbit's foot.  Anything that is special to you that touching and holding will help to soothe you enough that you can re-ground yourself from the flashback.

I do remember how hard those days were when I was in a meeting and suddenly had a flashback of being raped and you can't just walk out of the meeting.  So, I feel for you and I hope this idea helps.
