    2. My favorite musical of all time is "The Phantom of the Opera." The music and dilogue are both magnificent!

    3. Idina Menzel from "Wicked" and "Rent" is one of my inspiration. She has made it so big from so little!

    4. In 6th grade, my homeroom teacher just happenned to be the director and she convinced me to try out. Ever since then, I've been in love with the theatre!

    :)

  4. i absolutly LOVE it!

1- Why do you love it?

I am amazed at the breathtaking talent that it takes to do what they do. they are truely talented, you cant not be a fake *cough*disney stars*cough* and be as sucessful as some of them are!

2- Whats your favourite one and why?

Spring Awakening! The story line is so powerful and almost everyone can identify with at least one of the characters. they remind adults what its like to be a teen. i'm also amazed how relivant a play turned musical can be after 100+ years. the music is also kicka**!

    3- Who inspires you?

I dont really have a specific person in this catagory because i know i'm not going into that feild as a professional. I actm but cannot sing for my life.

4- And what made you get involved?

I saw my first broadway show at age 7 (Cats) and feel in love. i was amazed by the talent, costumes, set and the whole thing. I wanted to be just like those people on stage, but i realized i cant sing. =p. so now i do it becaise it is so much fun even in the chorus and i know it builds so many skills that i will be able to use the rest of my life. like speaking infront of people. leadership skills. how to act a different way then i'm really feeling, ect.

  5. 1) it combines the two things i love most- singing and acting!

    2) oh man i could say so many but i love les miserables.

    3) kristen chenowith

    4) we had auditions for annie at my school and i wasnt sure if i should audition but my best friend pushed me 2 do it and i ended up getting annie and now im hooked!!! that was 3 or 4 years ago....

  6. Love musical theater! And I'm straight.

1- Its fun. Great music should always be fun. So is acting. Put them together and ! It works!

2- Wicked. Great music, lyrics, acting, and the plot is amazing! It takes a story everyone knows and reveals how little we actually know.

3- Inspires me? If you mean my favorite actor/actress then I say Idina Menzel. But Willemijn Verkaik also rocks.

4.- Technically I'm not involved. I just watch it. But it all started when... Actually I'm not sure when. I was just raised with it.  SHOW YOUR KIDS MUSICALS!

  7. 1. I don't know why I love it. I honestly couldn't tell you.

    2. Tanz der Vampire - I absolutely love the songs and the storyline is great too.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ykAcbWxj...

    3. Not sure if they are really inspiration to me, but I'm crazy over Thomas Borchert, John Partridge, and Linda Eder.

    4. I think around 6th grade, I just heard a clip of a song from some show, and almost 4 years later I'm declared 'insane'. Now I'm afraid my musical obsession is going away and being replaced by other things I'm finding more interesting. Let's hope that's not the case.

  8. I love it and appreciate it, but I'm not talented enough to be involved in it (tone deaf!) I can appreciate good song and dance and knwo how difficult it really is.

I love most of them for different reasons, but Pirates of Penzance and Wicked top the list. Phantom is up there too.

  9. That's really sad that you're the only one! They just don't know what kind of thing that they're missing out on.

    1. Oh, I couldn't explain it in words. It's just such a beautiful thing being able to act you know? I can express myself and step into someone else's shoes. It's magical. I love that I can be somebody else for a day. I also love the singing aspect (though the melodies are occasionally stuck in my head all day.) I love the songs that are sung onstage. They have such fire and passion. I also love the dancing aspect. Dancing is also very magical to me, the way you can make ones feet move in time to music!

    2. I do not know how I would choose just one play. Wicked, for it's great plot, songs and showstopping backdrops and costumes and breathtaking actors and actresses. And Les Miserables for it's beautiful music, plot and characters.

    3. Idina Menzel. Not everybody can be the wicked witch of the west and  be so  convincingly wicked! x-D Plus she's just so talented, I mean obviously you must be to get to Broadway but it's like she's been sprinkled with fairy dust. She stands out from the rest.

    4. I was acting one day in about third grade and it was like a little lightbulb clicked in my brain! I was like this is what I want to do! This is my passion! It's something I just never tire of . And I've been doing musical theatre productions ever since!

  10. I'm the only one out of my friends too! (Most of my friends make fun of theatre in general.)

1 - I don't know exactly why. I guess I kind of like the escape from the real world. You get wrapped up in the story, and it is great. I think it is amazing how many emotions and stories can be portrayed through music and dance. In every single song in a musical like Wicked (my personal favorite.) There is so much emotion. Each song can make you laugh, or make you cry. I've always had a love for music.

    2. Like I said, my favorite is Wicked. I fell in love with the characters; especially Elphaba. It was the first Broadway musical that I saw in New York. I picked it out when I was 8, and we almost didn't get seats. As soon as the show was over, I was in love with the songs, the amazing costumes and makeup, and the plot. Even several years later, songs like For Good, Defying Gravity and No Good Deed are heavily played on my ipod.

    3. Like others have said, I have to say that Idina Menzel is amazing. She was my favorite character in the musical Wicked, and her voice is breathtaking. She is a beautiful person, and extremely talented. She went from Broadway to pop records. Every song on her CD 'I stand' is AMAZING! All her words are so touching and relatable. She was in two of the most memorable (that I've seen/heard of) musicals - Wicked, and Rent, her voice is powerful, her stage prescense is great.

    4. I began with Ballet at 3. I always had a passion to sing, and when I was 6 I started modeling and acting through John Robert Powers, and participated in Kidstage events, and other plays and musicals and such. I did school choir, and singing has always been one of my main passions. When I was entering middle school, the one thing I looked forward to most was being in the school musical. Although practice was grueling, in the end, there was just something that I loved about being on stage. I love the lights, the costumes, the makeup, the cast, the dancing, the acting, and most importantly the music.
