Does anyone else like the taste of chalk?

I have a chalkboard in my room and i realize that i love the smell of it. Then one day wrote all over the chalkboard and tasted it. It was so good I licked it all off. now I can't stop. I had a whole pack with 8 pieces and i ate all of it. Now, when i go to school i snatch pieces off the board when no ones looking. One time while no one was in the room i found a whole pack and stole it. now that packs gone. Does anyone else like the taste? oh and the taste of walls. with a certain paint on them.

You need to see a doctor for this. This is far from normal.

It used to be that kids (and sometimes pregnant women) would eat lead paint. The lead tasted sweet, and that's what they wanted, something sweet. However, lead is a very dangerous thing. Too much lead in your system is fatal. That's why, when you sell your house, the Realtor asks if there is any chance of lead based paint in the house, as it MUST be disclosed to potential buyers.

Chalk, while not as dangerous as lead, can still cause complications. Granted, some medications will have a chalky taste, but it's not chalk. I haven't heard of anyone dying from ingesting chalk, in fact, it could induce vomiting. However, it's not something that should be eaten.

Please... see a doctor.

I believe that the condition is called pica.  Its probably not good for you.

In all fairness, alot of people consume chalk daily for medical reasons and they don't even know they are. mylanta and other antacids are just liquid chalk with mint flavouring. i once had a grade 4 teacher who ate chalk all the time to help his heart burn. however the wall l*****g thing is a little odd, not disturbing at all just odd...but hey each to there own
