My NBC broadcasts are showing up terrible on my Sony Bravia XBR5 HD tv. Is it just us or is there something else going on? It is not during action shots, but when they swithch cameras. It takes several seconds for the tv to come in clearly. It is driving us crazy.

  1. If you have cable it is in the signal which could be anything from a fitting, jumper, splitter,or the signal the cable company is sending ask a neighbor from your left or right or back if they are having the same problem or call the cable company. I am having no pixelating on any channels.

  2. I have only noticed this when the camera is spinning to follow a player and the background crowds will pixelate a bit.

Does this happen on other channels like non-live sports?

    I have a few thoughts:

    - This happened to my system and it turns out low signals strength from the cable system was to blame.

    - HDMI - you could be confusing the copy protection when the cameras shift. Try using a component cable for a test to see if the problem goes away.  (You may have to disconnect the HDMI cable for this to work)

  3. I haven't noticed that at all.  Perhaps you mean when the local station goes to and comes out of commercials?  If so, that is a timing problem at the local station.

I hope this helps.  Please return and select a Best Answer from all of those submitted.
