does anyone else think that our country's policy of dealing with illegals is rediculous? everyone is freaking out about illegals, and yet, our country does nothing about it! i agree with Ron Paul and think we should just totally close down the border. have a wall with guards, ect.

Ask the Palestinians

Ask the Chinese (remember that Great Wall? It failed too)

Walls do not work--they only serve as obstacles--they do not solve the originating problem.

And typical of most proponents of wall solutions, you have misidentified the problem.

Finally...

Nothingusefullearnedin...Your solution, as simple and xenophobic as it is presented, would create even greater problems of poverty and crime....

Think how many hundreds of miles of border is common between Mexico and the U.S. and you realize the wall & guards thing is not very realistic and very expensive.

All that needs to be done is to enforce current laws: if someone enters the U.S. illegally, arrest them, detain them or export them. Fine (according to income of the company) any company hiring illegals and, if necessary, jail the ones who do the hiring.

This would have to include Senators, Governors, Representatives, and others who want cheap "housekeepers".

And quit giving them housing, food stamps, medical care, etc.

And, finally, if the parents come here ILLEGALLY, any child born here of them would NOT BE GRANTED U.S. citizenship.

Problem solved.
