VVhen I look at a book in the day vvith the light of the svn or good lighting conditions I see colors enclosing the ovtline of the letters. The letters stay black, bvt arovnd them I see vivid bright colors, like little dots. The colors are scattered all over, a vvhole lot of them. I can focvs on this and make myself see it sometimes. VVhen I concentrate in the middle of the book looking at the vvhole tvvo pages vvhen it is open I notice them easier. I don't think I can do it vvith the (palstic) covers. Does anyone else notice this? Seriovs ansvvers please. Thanks.

  1. It's just an optical illusion.  There are many things that cause that.

  2. I don't know if it is the same thing of which you are asking but it sounds sort of the same; certain white lights if I turn my head past them the light spectrum spreads out and I can see the different layers of visual light (i.e. rainbow).

To my understanding/logic it is just a sensitivity to various visual fields.

  3. This is NOT "paranormal". Well not really. See below.

Its a form of visual hyper sensitivity!

    Do you sometimessquint?

Do you find certain types of lighting annoying?

    Do you get migraines?

Do you see storm clouds glowing?

Do you have good eyesight even in limited lighting?

You may be one of the small minority who see further into the Uv range then most people can! Or  due to synaesthesia "see" electrical fields as colors and halos.

Get tinted lenses for reading and wear sunglasses on all bright cloudless days even in winter!

IN one way it  is "paranormal" and "Psychic" but cos its a rare and unusual ability or problem if it effects your reading!

It is "ESP" in that you have Extra Sensitive Perception!

Some things that get labelled ESP or Paranormal are biological rather than "psychic" abilities.

What however the borderline is between biological and psychic I dont know?

  4. Go visit the Ophthalmologist.  He will understand.

  5. You should see an Ophthalmologist.I'm not joking it could be a retina problem.I've been there.

  6. no i haven't see brigth colors as you describe,

Illusions of Movement =The basic feature of image sequences is the movement of image points, and this is estimated with bias as well. For cleverly arranged patterns with spatially separated areas having different biases, a segmentation of the pattern and perception of illusory movement can be caused.

  7. i have seen them. i have not been to a eye specialist. sometimes i see the light flashes in other places. they arent little dots, they are fairies.

  8. yes,I think everyone can see it.Just a were black is really made up of different colors.

  9. I don't see this, but it sounds kind of like what you would see when you look through those x-ray glasses you could order from comic books when I was a kid.

It sounds like you are having a problem seeing the black clearly on a field of white. It could be a problem with the way your mind is interpreting the data from your eyes, that is an optical illusion. If its only under bright light with black text on white, then I wouldn't worry about it, just avoid this situation. If the letters are moving, or waving, or something, then you should consult an optimologist.

In either case, its nothing paranormal.
