Question:

Does anyone else think Brett Favre is going to get seriously hurt this season?

He's probably gonna be the starting QB for the Jets(I know, I have a hard time with that one myself). The only problem is.....The Jets have NO offensive line! I hate to say it, but Brett Favre may get killed after one season with the Jets. Anyone else agree with me on that?

  1. It's a great possiblitly, he's not getting any younger.  Even if he is in great shape, the tendons aren't as flexible as someone who is 20.  He seems to want to go out in some sort of blaze of glory, unfortunately it may be a painful one.  I would hate to see anyone get hurt, but life has it's lessons.

  2. I think he will take a real beating this year. It's going to be sad that our last memory of Brett on the playing field will be one showing him being carried off for the last time.  He will retire at the end of this season for good.

  3. no. you cant hurt the iron man and he has proven that by playing with broken bones. disagree with me if you want but he did play with a broken thumb... more than once... on his throwing hand! he even played with a broken foot! it was so swollen he was wearing 2 different sized shoes. and he played one h**l of a game right after his dad died. if thats not tough i dont know what is. so if you disagree then tell me, who is tough if Favre isnt?

  4. Actually the Jet offensive line will be greatly improved this year. He will start all 16 games and lead the Jets to the Playoffs. Rodgers will probably get hurt.

  5. Whatever bad things that may happen to him this season he has no one to blame but himself.

  6. What are you talking about?  The Jets may not have the same O-Line as the say the Patriots but their line is still a pretty good one.  You have perennial all pro at LG in Alan Faneca and his presence alone will make D'Brickashaw Ferguson a much better LT.  Nick Mangold is the best young center in the league and only getting better, RG Brandon Moore is probably a little underated at his position and you have Damien Woody who is the weakest part of the line, but since he plays RT you always have the TE to help there and the Jets have two of the better blocking TE in the league in Chirs Baker and Bubba Franks.  The Jets did the right thing this year in signing Faneca from the Steelers he'll bring their OL together into a much more effeciant unit.  So I don't think Brett will get hurt he played behind some real young line the last few years in Green Bay (2005 4-12, 2006 8-8) and got through those o.k. I would look for the Jets to finish somewhere at or above a .500 season (I mean 9 of their 12 losses last year were by 11 points or less and Brett definately makes them more competitive.

  7. The two seasons before last year had him running for his life most of the time.  I'm guessing he'll be running with the Jets.  He might stay healthy, but all it takes is one pop....
