Does anyone else think Chicago has the WORST mexican food ever?

I'm sure I might get some rude answers from the people that are from Chicago...oh well. Anyway, I'm not from Chicago...I'm from California...where they have REAL mexican food. I have gone to a bunch of different mexican restaraunts here just CRAVING some good mexican food. And they're all terrible! I leave and I'm so mad and disappointed!

You can all get pissed and over dramatic and tell me to go back to cali or whatever, but it's really true. I'm just saying this because once I asked a question about why I the mailman doesn't pick up my outgoing mail and everyone from chicago flipped out at me and told me I was lazy for not bringing it to the corner box, lol...like I am automatically supposed to know to do that.

Anyway, back to my question. Terrible mexican food here, right? And I'm mexican, so I KNOW mexican food. Chicago mexican's are not representing. Haha.

I understand what you're saying. Try Cicero. It's a suburb of Chicago a little south. There are several authentic Mexican restaurants there. One in particular is on Cermak and 54th. I don't know the name offhand.

Did you go to Taco Bell or did you go to a place in Pilsen where no one can habla?  Big difference.

want real mexican go to mexico, why are you generalizing? are you saying you have visited every mexican cuisine place in chicago? also you need to understand that proportion of mexican people in cali is far greater than illinois. just grow up, if you are such an expert on what real mexican is then just stay home and cook it yourself, you should be able to do an outstanding job since you are mexican. enjoy.

I disagree. Have you been to taco burrito king, La Pasadita, or Pistolas Ranchos? You just need to take a huge look around in the big city.  There are many places out there and probably other cool places that I have not mentioned.
